What fired your ambition to start your own business?
I had trained as a solicitor but it didn’t suit my personality. I wanted to do something that didn’t feel like work everyday. Every day I love my job – and I think you need that in business.
What’s been a career high?
Seeing people enjoy Coffee Republic was an amazing experience. Also, my bestsellers – I love that my story has inspired people.
What’s the best careers advice that you’ve been given?
You have to believe in your product. This makes all the difference. It’s also important to do your research and become a world expert on your product. Know your market, the strengths, opportunities and competitors.
What makes a good mentor?
It can be anyone who shares your ideas and dreams.
