It was announced today that Love Island 2016 star Sophie Gradon has died, aged just 32.

The news was broken by Sophie’s boyfriend, Aaron Armstrong, who took to Facebook to confirm the tragic news and pay tribute to the 32-year-old.

‘I will never forget that smile,’ he posted. ‘I love you so so much baby, you’re my world forever and always.’

After the confirmation of the model and former beauty queen’s tragic passing, her Love Island co-stars took to Twitter in force to pay tribute and voice their sadness.

‘At about 8.27pm yesterday police attended a property in Medburn, Ponteland, where sadly a 32-year-old woman was found deceased,’ a spokesperson from Northumbria Police told the Mail Online.

'There are not believed to be any suspicious circumstances surrounding her death. A report will now be prepared for the coroner.’
