X Factor judge Cheryl Cole reveals she may leave the show next year to spend more time with family
The 26-year-old, whose act Joe McElderry is the favourite to win the talent contest on Sunday, has told show boss Simon Cowell that she may not return to the judging panel next year, but will first take a few months off ‘to decide’.
Cole claims her final decision will have ‘nothing to do with money’, and insists she would like ‘time off with the family, the dogs and just rest I suppose‘.
But insiders claim that the singer is in fact considering a move to America to pursue her solo career.
Just recently Simon Cowell joked with Cole on the X Factor, telling her: ‘I like the fact the people we work with are successful… just not too successful.’
In response, Cheryl joked that she would wait to see if Cowell ‘is on his best behaviour‘ before signing another contract.
But now it seems that the Girls Aloud star may never return to the talent show after two years as a judge and mentor.
