  • Cheryl Cole admits she's terrified about performing on this weekend's X Factor

Cheryl Cole has banned her friends and family from attending this weekend’s X Factor show, because she doesn’t want them in the audience when she performs her new solo single.

The judge, whose song Fight For This Love will be heard during Sunday’s results show, told GMTV that none of her Girls Aloud bandmates will be there to hear her sing.

‘The girls are itching to come down to support me when I perform but I kind of don’t want them to – because it is more scary,’ Cheryl admitted – and said it’s unlikely any of her family will be there either.

’If my family are sat in the crowd… it depends which members of my family are in the crowd – some of them make me feel like, “Yeah I’m ready”, and some make me feel, “Oh God no – Dad’s in the crowd,” so no, no family or friends.’

After a week of speculation about whether she’ll perform live or not, X Factor sources have confirmed Cheryl WILL be singing, as apposed to miming over a backing track, but it won’t be live, with the song pre-recorded for the X Factor audience before the show hits our screens.

‘There are just nerves in the building – the contestants are giving off nervous energy, their family and friends are giving off nervous energy,’ Cheryl told GMTV, ‘and on top of that I’m going to go out and sing, and on top of that Whitney Houston is going to also sing, too!’
