Suits are having a major moment for Summer, and we're not talking about the basic black kind. Check our edit to get involved..
Suits are back, and they are looking more stylish than ever for Spring/Summer 2016. And as we embrace the new season and pack away those winter knits and dark palettes it’s time to check out all that’s new on the suit scene.
For Summer, we’re moving on from the classic black tuxedo-style suits we’ve seen from previous seasons, and we’re cranking thing’s up a notch in the style stakes. Yes, we are still aiming for that ‘Power Suit’ vibe, but the new look is all about making a statement.
Think colour, prints and even embellishment. There are pastels, pinstripes and the new styling tip to note – pyjama suits. From the catwalk to the high street, the robe style jacket is the way to go for SS16. While Zara has made the trend totally wearable for the day, you can easily nod to the look with elegant piping on a monochrome suit.
Gucci and Sonia Rykiel were the leaders in suiting on the runway this season with their palette of retro colours and wallpaper floral patterns. While Stella McCartney and J.W. Anderson have inspired us to think about the subtle detail, with their cool cuts and large button designs.
For an evening look, we still can’t get enough of this seasons high wasted,wide-leg palazzo pant styles as well as chic flared suits in a myriad of wantable shades.
