New singing show The Voice UK has broken BBC records to become the most requested programme of all time during one day, on its iPlayer catch-up service.

THE VOICE UK: MEET THE FINAL 20 CONTESTANTS

The fast-moving music hit has seen judges Jessie J, Will.i.am, Tom Jones and Danny O'Donoghue brave blind auditions and head-to-head battles to put together their teams of 10.

And after beating ITV show Britain's Got Talent in it's first week, forcing Simon Cowell to abandon a time clash and move his show by 30 minutes, now it has broken BBC records, too.

Earlier this week, The Voice became the most requested show in one day ever, on catch-up service BBC iPlayer.

Beating detective drama Sherlock's previous record of 623,000, Saturday's show was viewed a whopping 764,000 times during a single 24-hour period, after contestants fought it out during a round of musical battles.

This comes after reports that The Voice's TV ratings were down on previous weeks.
