In fact the role was almost signed and sealed, with Catherine only changing her mind at the last minute, after seeing the sizzling chemistry between Rob and leading lady Kristen Stewart.

‘I thought [Fernandez] could have been very good in that role, [but] he was beat out by Rob because Rob and Kristen just had that chemistry,’ Catherine revealed in a new interview.

‘You've got to realize that Kristen is 17 years old,' Catherine revealed she told Rob, who’s four years K-Stew’s senior.

'She's underage. You've got to focus, dude, or you're going to be arrested. I made him swear on a stack of Bibles.'
