    We caught up to talk inspiration and her own experiences of mentoring.

    What fired your ambition?
    I started life as a runner for a theatrical and literary agency and that’s how my career in television began. I had always written books, but it was more of a secret ambition. One day I decided to be brave and put my work out there.

    What’s been a career high?
    Hearing that Penguin was going to publish my first book was overwhelming.

    What’s the best careers advice that you’ve been given?
    To get into TV, you must be prepared to start at the absolute bottom. It’s tough but the best way to learn.
