Introducing Tanya's cocktail bar: a place where hypothetically you can drink all you like but not get a hangover...

Want to give your happy hour a healthy kick? At 4pm Tuesday to Saturday Tanya’s Café changes from a raw food paradise to a chic superfood cocktail bar. The totally Instagram-able concoctions are free from the nasty chemicals that produce that dreaded ‘I’m never drinking again’ hangover and put a healthy, guilt-free spin on your go-to tipple.

So put down that vodka and soda water and scrap your plans for a dry July because Tanya has shared her favourite superfood cocktail recipes with us. Spoiler alert: they’re amazing.

Illusion Of Grandeur

Ingredients 35ml cachaça 35ml apple juice 25ml pear purée 1/2 tsp vanilla powder 3 basil leaves 1/2 tsp wheatgrass powder 15ml vermouth white (sugar-free) Pinch of turmeric Pinch of salt soda top

Method 1. Add all ingredients (except chia) to a Boston shaker with ice. 2. Shake hard and taste. 3. Strain into a highball glass 4. Garnish with 2 Pear spears, Cracked Pepper

Treaky Tropic

Ingredients 35ml gin 50ml kiwi purée 25ml apple juice 25ml pomegranate juice 25ml calendula infusion (calendula flowers covered in hot water for 2min, fine strained) 10ml maple syrup 1/2 tsp beetroot powder 1/2 tsp carob powder 3 drops peppermint bitters 1/2 tsp chlorella

Method 1. Add all ingredients to a Boston shaker with ice. 2. Shake hard and taste. 3. Strain into a coupe or cocktail glass 4. Garnish with a kiwi fan

What The Doctor Ordered Ingredients 50ml sacred vodka 20ml lemon juice 15ml my Doctor Juice (Tanya's Cafe combination of beetroot, carrot, celery, sweet potato, apple, lemon, ginger) 2 barspoons raw honey or 20ml agave nectar 2 dashes ginger bitters 2 dashes lavender bitters 3 barspoons soaked chia seeds Method 1. Add all ingredients (except chia seeds) to a Boston shaker with ice. 2. Shake hard and taste. 3. Strain into a patterned goblet. 4. Garnish with thick orange twist. 5. Sprinkle with soaked chia seeds.

A Mango's Touch

Ingredients 50ml vodka 50ml mango purée 25ml my Vision Juice (Tanya's Cafe combination of carrot, orange, mango, turmeric root) 25ml rose infusion (rose petals covered in hot water for 2min, fine strained) 15ml lemon juice 1/2 tsp stevia powder 3 drops lavender bitters 15ml spice infused agave (agave syrup infused with, clove, cinnamon, cardamom and nutmeg grating 2 weeks) 15ml red vermouth (sugar-free) Method 1. Add all ingredients to a Boston shaker with ice. 2. Shake hard and taste. 3. Strain into a burgundy wine glass 4. Garnish with a twisted mango peel

Weightless Kick Ingredients 50ml chilli infused gin (dehydrate the chilli for a day/split down the middle - 2 chillies in one bottle) 50ml celery juice 20ml cucumber juice 15ml lemon juice 15ml agave syrup 25ml floral tea (eg.jasmine) (1.5 minute infusion) 20ml pineapple purée 2 drops cardamom bitters 2 drops celery bitters 2 drops habanero bitters

Method 1. Add all ingredients to a Boston shaker with ice. 2. Shake hard and taste. 3. Strain into a patterned goblet. 4. Serve straight up and shaken hard to create a good foam
