Victoria’s style can be described as many things: minimal, chic, tailored-to-perfection, immaculately cut and luxuriously simplistic, but ‘colourful’ is one adjective that definitely doesn’t get banded around too often in reference to VB. Her colour palettes of choice are almost always exclusively muted and neutral, with head-to-toe monochrome being a wardrobe staple for this mother-of-four.
Having said that, both the designer’s SS15 collections – her ready-to-wear and her diffusion line, Victoria, Victoria Beckham – have introduced the idea of fun, flirty colours and vibrant prints. Here in New York, VB is seen wearing the cheery peony pink floral print that popped up in her SS15 collection, complete with matching oversized clutch.
From the textured, wrapover dress from her upcoming pre-SS16 collection she was photographed in this week (click onto the next photo along) or the green, belted mini dress by the late Oscar de la Renta she sported at Paris Fashion Week in 2007, it’s clear that while VB may not do colour often, when she does, she absolutely nails it.
