Look out for the ‘C word’ in this bizarre Home Alone sequel, and no, we don’t mean ‘Christmas’…
Macaulay Culkin is pretty much the definition of the child star trying to shake that sweet innocent image, which first propelled him to fame.
Once our bright-eyed golden boy of Christmas, this December Culkin decided to reveal just how traumatized he thinks character, Kevin McCallister, might be 25 years on from being left Home Alone.
In a five minute YouTube video titled Just Me In The House By Myself, Culkin swears, talks about drug use and breaks into a monologue about the pain and distress of being forgotten at Christmas by his family.
'How about this, it’s Christmas time. It’s f***ing Christmas and your whole family goes on vacation and they forget their 8-year-old f***ing son... I had to fend off my house from two psychopath home invaders. I was just a kid, I still have nightmares about this bald weirdo dude chasing me around.'
There’s no doubt that this odd video makes for extremely funny viewing. Home Alone fans (so we’re guessing everyone) will love the references to the classic 90’s movie. Especially when the grown up Kevin ignores a call from his mum as his mobile plays the Home Alone theme music. Then later, when threatened by a carjacker, Culkin effortlessly foils the ‘bad guy’, because, well he’s had some practice at this kind of stuff.
Culkin then ties up the carjacker using Christmas lights, ready for torture, ending the film dancing topless smeared in something that looks a lot like blood… Yeah, not so innocent anymore.
The hilarious web parody is actually the debut episode in a series of online comedies, created by and starring Jack Dishel. Dishel is a musician, actor and producer from the US and plans for the rest of the series to follow his character, an on-demand car service passenger and the strange drivers (hopefully other big names, willing to laugh at themselves) which he encounters.
