X Factor 2013 contestants in the final 24 have jetted off to New York, LA, Antigua and St. Tropez, the four Judges’ Houses locations this season.
Contestants who survived this weekend’s emotional ‘musical chairs’ boot camp – where even those who thought they were secure were only as safe as the next performance – are getting a bit of a treat as they’re whisked off across the globe to rehearse with the judges and their celebrity guests.
Nicole Scherzinger and her six girls – Abi Alton, Tamera Foster, Melanie McCabe, Relly Clarke, Hannah Barrett and Jade Richards – have been soaking up the sunshine in Antigua, where Nicole and guest mentor Mary J. Blige brought their best summery frocks, kaftans and strappy flat sandals.
Gary Barlow, along with celeb guest Olly Murs and his six bands – Brick City, Rough Copy, Kingsland Road, Xyra, Code 4 and a new unnamed girl band – have arrived in the Big Apple, NYC, although both Code 4 and Rough Copy are missing bandmates due to visa issues, with a source telling the Mirror:
‘It was chaos as there are only six groups in New York and two of them are not complete. It was only a few days before when we realised some singers weren’t coming.
‘There is a lot of emotion and even some tears in front of Gary so it makes his decision even harder.’
Judge Sharon Osbourne and her over-25s (Lorna Simpson, Shelley Smith, Zoe Devlin, Sam Bailey Joseph Whelan and Andrea Magee) have been hanging by the pool with Robbie Williams in LA, while Louis Walsh has taken his boys (Sam Callahan, Paul Akister, Nicholas McDonald, Ryan Mathie, Luke Friend and Giles Potter) to the French Riviera, where All Saints’ Nicole Appleton, Westlife’s Shane Filan and Sinitta are enjoying the St. Tropez sun.
Sounds like some well-deserved jet-setting – and lots of rehearsing, of course – after an emotional few weeks…
