Newsflash: Prince William And Kate Middleton Are On Instagram And Twitter

Kensington Palace, the home of the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge, has quietly joined the digital age

Hold the front page – Wills and Kate have finally entered the 21st century with (almost) personal Twitter and Instagram accounts.

With no public announcement, instagram.com/kensingtonroyal and twitter.com/kensingtonroyal officially started posting this week – but be warned – so far, so boring.

The first Instagram photo shared by our favourite royals features a grainy (they clearly haven’t got the hang of filters yet) shot of St James Palace, with the caption: ‘Prince Harry, joined by NBA All-star Carmelo Anthony, presented the first #Coachcore programme graduates with their certificates at St James’s Palace today. #Coachcore is a programme developed by the #RoyalFoundation to train young people who are struggling to find positive prospects, to become professional sports coaches and mentors.’

Quickly followed by a shot of Prince Harry posing with retired NBA player Dikembe Mutombo and the caption: ‘Prince Harry stands on tiptoes but still fails to measure up to retired NBA player Dikembe Mutombo who stands 7ft 2 inches tall at the #Coachcore graduation ceremony today. The NBA are supporting the #Royal’

We hope they catch on to our favourite Instagram pastimes of selfies, nights out with celebrity pals (we’re looking at you here, Prince Harry) and cute pictures of Prince George.

Check out Kate Middleton’s style from the very beginning.
