'Bear come get your dad.'

Since One Direction broke up and left an abyss that no group of musical pre-teens could ever fill, the boys have been pretty quick to shed their former good boy personas. However, Liam Payne’s latest antics on Instagram have some feeling like he may have pushed a little too far in the other direction and he’s had to delete a post because of it.

The Bedroom Floor singer posted a photo of himself on Instagram lounging on what is presumably a private jet, holding up a middle finger to the camera. He captioned it, ‘You can only get jet lag from a jet, the rest of yall have got plane lag #NOFUCKS’.

The caption was also accompanied by a very cool waving hand emoji.

It didn’t take long for the internet to kick into high gear, with fans immediately mocking it for being ‘cringe’.

The phrase ‘plane lag’ also quickly became an instant Twitter hit.

Liam will be appearing on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon alongside Rita Ora, performing their new song For You which features in the upcoming film Fifty Shades Freed. It explains why he was on a private jet, as the show is taped in front of a live audience in Los Angeles.

The post has since disappeared from Instagram, but naturally a few internet warriors screenshotted it before Liam scrubbed all evidence of it from his feed. Liam has yet elaborate on his controversial opinion on jet lag, however we’d be thoroughly surprised if he did. Remember kiddos, diamonds might be forever but embarrassing internet posts will haunt you for life.
