The first pictures from the upcoming Sex and the City: The Movie (due to be released in May 2008) have been released. Chris Noth and SJP were filming yesterday in Fifth Avenue, New York, and, if rumours are to be believed, Carrie finally marries Big. Hurrah!
Sex and the City
So here they are, the very first photographs from the set of Sex and the City: The Movie – the most eagerly awaited film of 2008.
She might be a few years older, but Carrie has lost none of her fashion flair. We love this white suit and pink shirt combo.
In a clingy white dress and giant corsage, SJP looks better than ever.
Are corsages back in? They will be if Sex and the City stylist Patricia Field has her way.
Suited and booted, Chris Noth, aka Mr Big, is back and looking slicker than ever.

For Patricia Field, Carrie is always the style leader, ‘Carrie was always the eclectic, fashion-surprise girl.’
Matching the pretty with the bold, Carrie wears a floral dress and jacket with sturdy Balenciaga sandals and Eiffel Tower bag by Timmy Woods (which you can buy for yourself at patriciafield.com.
Do we spy a happy ending in sight? Sarah Jessica Parker and Chris Noth share a cuddle for the cameras.
After years of heartache it looks like Kristin Davis’s character, Charlotte, is finally pregnant (or has she just been eating lots?).
On the run: just why is Charlotte in such a hurry?
The girls are back in town. The foursome are looking as stylish as ever.
Mr Big is back! Carrie and Big look every inch the happy couple, but for how long?
Charlotte looks fit to burst on a shopping trip, where she looks less than happy to have bumped into Mr Big.
Commenting on Samatha’s look stylist Patricia Field explained, ‘Five years does not change Samantha. She just gets bigger and bolder.’
Toting a bright orange Fendi bag, to go with her floral-print dress, this outfit epitomises Carrie’s new style, according to stylish Patricia Field.
On the four girls style for the film, Patricia Field added, ‘I thought about how the characters changed in a five-year period, since we saw them last. A lot has happened, but still, they haven’t become someone else.’
There may be rumours of an on-set feud, but as characters, Carrie and Samantha are clearly overjoyed at being reunited
Is it a dress or a jumpsuit? Carrie’s floral outfit appears to feature a skirt and cycling shorts combination. As always, she pulls it off beautifully.
On Charlotte’s evolving style, Patricia Field explains, ‘In the beginning of the show, Charlotte was very girly. Here, she’s a bit more Jackie O.”
Patricia Fields was clearly loving floral when she put together the movie wardrobe!
Sure to set a trend for over-the-knee socks this summer, Carrie teams hers with a long cardi and mini skirt.
Always one for an accessory, Carrie sports short leather gloves and a clutch.
The prom dresses are back! Carrie’s favourite dress shape makes a welcome return for the movie, with this candy pink number.
With natural make-up and wavy hair, SJP looks glowing in pink.
All the favourites have returned for the movie- including Stamford and his signature pink shirts!
Only Carrie could get away with running on icy streets, in stilettos, and still look good!
Hinting that the movie could stretch over a number of years- Carrie shows a number of hair colour/style changes throughout the film. Here she is in brunette mode.
Carrie has clearly gone up in the world since we last saw, as the movie sees her hire her own PA, in the form of Jennifer Hudson.
Making her SATC debut, Jennifer Hudson plays Carrie’s new PA in the movie.
It is the ‘Big’ wedding we have all been waiting for, in bridesmaid mode Miranda looks stunning in blue.
Charlotte’s sleek up-do looks stunning with her Zac Posen black gown.
In black Zac Posen, Charlottes’s bridesmaid dress features an amazing flamenco style skirt.
Samantha looks stunning in red, and we love the matching hair corsage.
Samantha’s dress is another Zac Posen, this time in shocking red.
She is in the dress, but will she make it to the altar? The perennial single girl is finally getting married!
The bride is ready, the bridesmaid in place, but where is the groom? Will Mr Big make it to the church?
Carrie wears a voluminous Vivienne Westwood wedding dress and blue feather hair piece for her big day.
Another bridesmaid and another stunning Zac Posen gown. For Miranda it is cobalt blue.
Making an adorable flower girl, Charlotte’s adopted daughter completes the bridesmaid line up.
With a high ponytail, Carrie looks sweet in a baby pink shift dress.
There was always a hint of the eighties power-woman about Samantha, and things have clearly not changed. In an all white skirt suit, and plenty of gold, she looks better than ever.
The family portrait! Is this Charlotte’s Chinese baby all grown up?
Charlotte enjoys a carousel ride with her gorgeous adopted daughter, we love the bow hair band!
Of all four women, Charlotte continues to look the most preened. The Park Avenue princess sports perfect curls and natural make-up.
All in black, there is a touch of urban warrior about Carrie’s dark look.
Belts feature heavily in Carrie’s wardrobe, whether in casual layered looks or over voluminous vintage dresses.
On that familiar door step, Carrie dons a classic trench coat and baby blue gloves.
Samantha gets her come-uppance after years of wearing fur. She is attacked by PETA campaigners during a New York Fashion Week scene of the movie.
At New York Fashion Week, Carrie pulls out all the stops for a fashion forward look.
Reminiscent of the oversized fur coat that Carrie wore in the early series of SATC, here she is in a full-length version, with sequin beret.
Miranda’s look has remained professional throughout the series and into the film. Neutral colours are a constant, as this look illustrates.
Brady is all grown up! Here he is sitting with mum Miranda.
Mother and son, Miranda and Brady look positively matching!
