Caitlyn Jenner, formerly known as Bruce Jenner, unveiled her new look to the world yesterday. Caitlyn debuted her full transition on the July cover of Vanity Fair and it was like the world erupted with one big fist pump.
The cover, shot by Annie Leibovitz and with the headline 'Call me Caitlyn', is the 65-year-old's first photo shoot after undergoing gender transition surgery and becoming a transgender woman.
As well as the shoot, Caitlyn opened a new Twitter account with the handle @Caitlyn_Jenner, writing: 'I'm so happy after such a long struggle to be living my true self. Welcome to the world Caitlyn. Can't wait for you to get to know her/me.'
After gaining more than a million followers in four hours, Caitlyn Jenner smashed a Guinness World Record previously held by Barack Obama, who managed to reach the one million mark in five hours.
The president even tweeted Caitlyn, congratulating her on the feat. POTUS wrote: 'It takes courage to share your story,' adding, 'Your story matters in the fight for LGBT rights.'
Of course, he wasn't the only one to come out in support of Caitlyn. To celebrate this historic and courageous moment, let's take a look at how some of Twitter's most famous users reacted:
