3,000 are interested in these shoes and they haven't even dropped yet

dune loupe sandals

Remember last summer, when literally everyone was into these Dune summer sandals and you couldn't scroll through Instagram without seeing at least five influencers wearing them?

Well they're back with a vengeance, and judging by the waiting list (which you can join here), people still aren't over them.

In case you missed them last year, the leather flats came in tan, white and black leather, selling out several times, before coming out in a bunch of new shades likeorange, yellow, turquoise and hot pink. Influencers like Alex Stedman, Emma Hill, Hannah Crosskey and We Are Twinset were all fans.

Now Dune has announced it's bringing them back, and there is a waiting list already. We don't know yet how many people are on it, but the brand told me 3,000 had searched for the shoes on the site, so it's likely to be at least that.

Here's what to expect from the new styles: at the end of January, there will be red leather, faux snake and leopard print options.

Then, from March, the yellow leather, denim and raffia textures will drop - I'm particularly keen on the last one, which will be the ideal holiday shoe.

If you're interested, you know what to do...

Penny Goldstone is the Digital Fashion Editor at Marie Claire, covering everything from catwalk trends to royal fashion and the latest high street and Instagram must-haves.

Penny grew up in France and studied languages and law at the Sorbonne Nouvelle University in Paris before moving to the UK for her MA in multimedia journalism at Bournemouth University. She moved to the UK permanently and has never looked back (though she does go back regularly to stock up on cheese and wine).

Although she's always loved fashion - she used to create scrapbooks of her favourite trends and looks, including Sienna Miller and Kate Moss' boho phase - her first job was at MoneySavingExpert.com, sourcing the best deals for everything from restaurants to designer sales.

However she quit after two years to follow her true passion, fashion journalism, and after many years of internships and freelance stints at magazines including Red, Cosmopolitan, Stylist and Good Housekeeping, landed her dream job as the Digital Fashion Editor at Marie Claire UK.

Her favourite part of the job is discovering new brands and meeting designers, and travelling the world to attend events and fashion shows. Seeing her first Chanel runway IRL at Paris Fashion Week was a true pinch-me moment.
