Katy Perry & Russell Brand's divorce finalised

Katy Perry and Russell Brand's divorce has been finalised, as a judge signs off the settlement agreement.

It's only been six weeks since the pair announced they were splitting and, although the divorce has been granted, Perry and Brand won't be legally single until July 14, because Californian law calls for couples to wait six months before they can move on.

RUSSELL BRAND FILES FOR DIVORCE

The court judgement calls for Perry's maiden name, Katheryn Elizabeth Hudson, to be restored and states that the Firework singer is entitled to keep every penny of money she earned during their marriage.

The couple didn't sign a pre-nup and Brand could have had his hands on half her money had he been a greedy chap.

Perry, 27, is clearly happy the divorce paperwork is out of the way and she even signed the court document with a smiley face. 

Russell and Katy married in a lavish Indian wedding ceremony back in 2009.
