X Factor’s Tulisa to be investigated by Ofcom

X Factor judge's signature arm gesture promotes own perfume

X Factor judge Tulisa Contostavlos may have to scrap her signature arm gesture, after complaints that the star has been illegally promoting her own perfume.

The 23-year-old judge starts every live show by holding up her arm to reveal her tattoo which reads The Female Boss- which is also the name of her fragrance, but complaints have been raised that the body ink is illegally advertising her scent.

Despite having the tattoo before launching her perfume and landing the X Factor gig, Ofcom are reportedly keen to probe the issue after receiving numerous complaints from viewers.

But it looks like the ITV shows producers may already have had a word with Miss Contostavlos who appeared to have ditched the trademark for Sunday’s live show.

Wearing a long-sleeved turquoise Matthew Williamson lace dress with cobalt heels, Tulisa seemed to have had a change of mind, giving the crowd a little wave instead of the wink and arm raised stance.
