Cara Delevingne: The New Audrey Hepburn? Umm…

Cara Delevingne's new movie trailer is out. Watch it here and tell us what you think...

By now you’ve almost certainly heard the news that supermodel-of-the-moment, Cara Delevingne has switched gears into acting. The 21-year-old has been racking up roles right and left, and will make her TV debut in a new made-for-TV film on Sky Arts, airing June 19th 2014.

Unless you caught her split-second appearance in Anna Karenina as Princess Sorokina (her debut role), we’ve yet to really see her in action, but Sky has released a snippet of Cara’s latest project, Playhouse Presents: Timeless to whet our curiosity until the film airs later this month.

Timeless sees Cara as the fiancée of a soldier in Afghanistan who grows closer to her great grandmother, a WWII widow throughout the film. This is a huge milestone for the budding actress because it’s her first starring role.

And it would seem the girl’s got talent. In a recent interview, the fashion icon-cum-Hollywood starlet’s co-star, screen-legend Sylvia Syms spoke very highly of her:

‘A hundred years ago, when the world was young, I worked with a (we were under contract together) with a lovely girl called Audrey Hepburn. The camera loved her, and she was natural in front of the camera. And this girl’s got the same thing.’

We’ll let you see for yourself…

Does Cara’s performance put her in the running for a ‘Best Actress’ nomination? Tell us what you think in the comments box below…
