Rita Ora has already shot campaign photos for the line, which is run by Madonna and her daughter Lourdes
Rita Ora signs £500K deal to model Madonna’s Material Girl Clothing Line after meeting at the Met Ball last week.
According to The Sun the 22-year-old singer, who has apparently already shot campaign photos for the line, is hoping that Madge’s backing could help her crack the US.
A source told the paper: ‘Lourdes has been a fan of Rita for a while and has been to many of her gigs. She persuaded her mum to see her.
‘They met at the Met Ball in New York last week and Madonna admired Rita’s attitude so signed the idea off.
‘Rita jumped at the chance because she’s such a fan of the Queen Of Pop. She also hopes it will help her crack the States in the same way she has the UK.’
Emerging style icon Rita, who’s own wardrobe and that of wifey Cara Delevingne channel’s 1990’s old-skool street grunge, will be following in the footsteps of past Material Girls Kelly Osbourne, Georgia May Jagger and Taylor Momsen.
The brand, sold in Macy’s stores in the US, is 1980s inspired and aimed at teenagers.
