Double awards win for Amy Winehouse at Mobo and Vodafone Live Awards

Amy Winehouse scoops top awards at Vodafone Live Music Awards and Mobos

Amy Winehouse was honoured with top awards at two separate shows last night.

The troubled singer picked up Best UK Female at the Mobos (Music of Black Origin Awards) and Best Live Female at the Vodafone Live Music Awards.

Unfortunately, the bee-hived singer couldn’t make it to both, and chose to perform Tears Dry on their Own and Me and Mr Jones at the O2 Arena where the Mobo’s was held; and in typical Amy style, she sent the landlord of her local pub to pick up her Vodafone trophy.

Also at the Mobos, rapper Dizee Rascal won Best Male Act, and Rihanna, who didn’t attend, won Best International Artist.

Over at the Vodafone Live awards, Mika was named Best Male Artist, veteran group the Police were hailed Best Live Return, and Kylie Minogue’s Showgirl tour picked up Best Production of the Year.
