No more tears left to cry.

It’s news that seemed to come out nowhere, but it turns out that Ariana Grande and her boyfriend Mac Miller have broken up. The former couple, who have been dating for two years, have apparently gone their separate ways due to their busy schedules.

While neither have yet to make a formal statement, PEOPLE confirmed that the two musicians have recently separated due to their demanding work commitments but remain close friends.

Ariana and Mac were together for two and a half years and stepped out as an item for the first time in 2016, when they were spotted grabbing sushi in California. Ariana also announced the news indirectly on Instagram, where she posted a photo of the couple rolling around on the floor.

Ariana is currently a very busy lady, as she’s currently wrapping up her new album Sweetener. In a recent episode of The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon, her first interview since the Manchester bombing, she accidentally revealed that it was due to drop on July 20th this year.

Her new single No Tears Left To Cry has quickly become the anthem of the summer with another one fast on the horizon. Mac supported her on Twitter and called her ‘one of a kind’.

It’s no surprise that Ariana’s schedule is a bit manic at the moment. Besides the album promotion and a new single on the horizon, she also recently attended the Met Gala in a Sistine Chapel-inspired gown and will be opening for the Billboard Music Awards on May 20th.

Beyond their romantic entanglements, the musicians had also featured on each other’s tracks such as Ariana’s song The Way and Mac’s My Favourite Part.

Ariana previously told Cosmopolitan, ‘We have loved and adored and respected each other since the beginning, since before we even met, just because we were fans of each other's talent.’

In the wake of the Manchester Arena attack, Mac Miller supported Ariana by joining her at her benefit concert One World Manchester and performed their song The Way onstage with her.

Mac recently said during a Power 105’s The Breakfast Club interview, ‘Just because we are two people who are in love and have a great relationship doesn't mean I am going to get weird about this incredible music we make.

I'm here to talk about music and I happen to be in a fantastic relationship with someone I also enjoy making music with so those lines can get blurred very easily on what I am here trying to do.’
