The singer revealed details of her new addition on Twitter on Saturday, but has since been targeted by internet trolls
Adele has been targeted by internet trolls, following the birth of her baby boy over the weekend.
A handful of Twitter users took to the social networking site to post vile comments after the news was announced, sending hate-filled Tweets to their accounts.
Just hours after it was revealed British superstar Adele, and boyfriend Simon Konecki had welcomed a bouncing baby boy into the word, the sickening comments began.
One anonymous user, Tweeting under the name Vanessa Bieber, wrote: ‘Aw Adele gave birth to a baby. Is it fat and handicapped lol? Just murder it already lol.’
And the disturbing messages didn’t end there.
Another user wrote: ‘I see Adele has given birth to a boy. If she randomly picks my baby name I may have to kill her,’ while a further added: ‘I’ll go see her in the UK and kill her’.
Siobhan Freegard of parenting website Netmums, said: ‘What’s wrong with these people? This deliberate bile is disgusting.’
Within minutes, many Twitter users had turned on the trolls, with one writing: ‘how dare you say such awful things about someone!!! Shame on you!!’ and another adding: ‘ur a very sick individual, made obvious by ur tweets to @adele…hopefully the police put a stop to u and ur kind!’
This morning Vanessa Bieber’s Twitter account has been deleted.
Adele and Simon are thought to have welcomed their first child on Saturday, with one insider revealing of the ‘ecstatic’ parents: ‘Adele and Simon are ecstatic at their new arrival. She was over the moon that they were expecting their first child together.’
Adele has been hard at work in recent weeks on James Bond title track Skyfall, and last week Tweeted a message to X Factor contestant Ella Henderson.
