Josh Smith

Journalist, podcaster and presenter

Josh Smith is an award-winning British journalist, podcaster and presenter. He gained international recognition for his signature interviews with some of the biggest names on the planet, from Kate Hudson to Jodie Foster, Oprah to Victoria Beckham. With access to the world’s most in-demand celebrities, his vodcast and interviews put self-discovery and self-acceptance at the heart of intimate conversations, which continue to gain international press attention.

Josh’s hit podcast, Josh Smith’s Great Chat Show — previously Reign with Josh Smith — produced by Next Chapter Studios in partnership with Spotify, is built for real conversation in an era of short attention spans and performative, click-driven interviews. Vulnerability is welcomed, humour comes naturally, and connection comes first. For Smith, it’s a clear statement: words and stories matter, and when they’re given space, they can spark real change. The podcast is in the top 1% globally, charted at number 10 across all podcasts on Spotify and took the number one spot on Spotify's Society and Culture Chart. Josh has also hosted a live sold-out show of his podcast at the Adelphi Theatre on the West End with Jodie Comer, along with live recordings with Addison Rae and Olivia Cooke.

June 2024 saw Josh release his highly anticipated debut book, ‘Great Chat: Seven Lessons for Better Conversations, Deeper Connections and Improved Wellbeing’, which was reviewed by Vogue, Elle and Independent. The paperback version ‘Great Chat: Talk to Anyone. Make New Connections. Improve Your Relationships’ is available now, too.

Josh is a proud ambassador of the UK’s leading children’s mental health charity, Place2be and has held a number of prominent positions at British magazines, including as Entertainment Director at GLAMOUR UK. Josh has also written for Vogue, The Standard, Sunday Times Style, The Telegraph, Grazia and more.

Alongside presenting credits on 4 Music, Josh has hosted live events, panels and premieres for the likes of Netflix, Sky, Sony Music, Amazon, Marks and Spencer and Givenchy Beauty. He also hosted the world premiere of Abba Voyage, which involved the band's first group interview in decades.
