Dr Sharon Wong

Dr Sharon Wong is a leading Consultant Dermatologist and President of the Institute of Trichologists. Her path into hair loss and scalp health began back in 2009, during her dermatology training. At the time, few clinics specialised in the scalp and patients with hair loss were often overlooked. By 2012, she had established one of the UK’s first dedicated NHS hair and scalp clinics, which quickly became oversubscribed, reflecting the scale of unmet need.

Alongside her clinical work, Dr Wong became a recognised voice in the field, serving as a spokesperson for the British Skin Foundation, a member of the British Hair and Nail Society, and an advisor to the British Beauty Council. Her expertise is sought after by global brands and featured widely in the media. Armed with over 15 years of clinical expertise in diagnosing and treating every type of hair and scalp condition in 2025

Dr Sharon Wong co-created DOSE as a first stop for hair loss concerns, designed to transform the way we understand and treat hair loss and scalp health and went on in 2026 to take the role of President of the Institute of Trichologists, marking a significant moment for the profession at a time of growing demand for credible, collaborative and patient-centred hair and scalp care.
