Top agency tells size zero model she can't appear on London's catwalks
A size zero model has been banned from London Fashion Week, and told to put on weight. Charlotte Carter, 22, has been advised by leading model agency Models 1 to put on a stone before she can appear on the catwalks.
Speaking to The Sun, Charlotte claimed she is pleased by the decision: ‘It helped me to finally realise that I was too thin. I was really impressed that the agency was addressing my well-being.’
The Zimbabwean model, who lives in London, confirmed that she had suffered eating disorders in the past and though didn’t blames the industry, added ‘it hasn’t helped’.
The move follows the British Fashion Council’s decision to also stop models under the age of sixteen from appearing on London’s catwalks.
