The fashion bargain of the century: a Stella McCartney design for under a tenner, and we know where to get it!
Stella McCartney‘s designs are loved worldwide by fashionistas and celebrities alike, but now she’s making her style accessible to all by launching a £9.99 tee, that benefits charity as well.
The celebrated British designer has designed a line of limited-edition T-shirts to raise funds for Comic Relief, and has enlisted some of her most famous friends to help the cause.
Keeping it in the family, Stella’s sister – esteemed photographer Mary McCartney – shot the star-studded campaign, while a photograph of their father, taken by their late mother Linda, graces one of the tees.
Showing Paul and his Beatles bandmates at the height of their fame, the iconic image has one important amendment, each of the fab four are sporting the charity’s signature accessory – a red nose.
Antother of the designs features a shot of comedy duo Morecambe and Wise, captured by veteran fashion snapper David Bailey.
Commenting on her philanthropic endeavour, Miss McCartney said, ‘It’s a real honour to be involved in such a tremendous cause and be a part of the Red Nose Day campaign 2009. The designs of the T-shirts were inspired by iconic images of iconic people by iconic photographers and adding an element of humour to them.’
The tees go on sale today at TK Maxx stores nationwide, with all net profits going directly to Comic Relief.
