8 Best Dressed At The BAFTAs 2016

These are the stand out style moments you need to see…

Only some of our favourite A-listers remembered to wear a Brit designer to the 2016 BAFTAs last night – Kate Winslet and Cate Blanchett, we love you. But we’ll let the others off. Because from Dakota Johnson to Julianne Moore, there were some seriously gorgeous gowns to behold on the red carpet last night.

These are the stand out style moments you need to see…

Dakota Johnson
Dakota does Dior the Valentine’s Day way, looking red hot in this so SS16 slip dress with a little bit of a ruffle.

Alicia Vikander
We have got to salute The Danish Girl star Alicia, for lugging all that Louis Vuitton beading around on her back all night. Weighing in at 35lb, she described wearing her embellished leather number as ‘a workout’.

Cate Blanchett
The best 360 look of the night? It has to be Cate’s Alexander McQueen gown, where the floral lace crept around the back and up around her neckline. See all the angles in the gallery above.

Julianne Moore
We love the maxi-length ribbon neck tie on Julianne’s monochrome halter – it’s all in the details, folks.

Kate Winslet
Kate’s a style winner in her spliced up gown by Brit designer Antonio Berardi. She goes classic awards season with the jewellery – chandelier earrings and a single bling cuff.

Hannah Bagshawe
The lovely Mrs Redmayne is getting more and more pregnant as awards season rocks on, but she’s navigating red carpet maternity dressing like a pro.

Gemma Chan
Gemma dazzles in a blitz of embellishment – sequins, crystals, studs… the works.

Saoirse Ronan
Saoirse proves that Hollywood’s love of a column gown isn’t over yet, reviving the trend in this deconstructed floral number. Her accessories make the look though – three strings of candy coloured gems in a choker that any fashion magpie would pine for.
