Yesterday some celebrities put on clothes, went out and were photographed. Here’s Marie Claire’s fashion round-up and general musings on yesterday’s events.
Princess Charlene Is Having Twins, Wears Sparkling Jumper To Celebrate
Word on the street is that Princess Charlene of Monaco is having twins. Phew, the former Olympic swimmer can breathe a sigh of relief now she knows she’s providing not one, but two heirs for old Albert. How does one celebrate such happy, happy news? By donning a sparkling maternity jumper, obvs.
Lindsay Lohan In Looking Demure Shocker
We love that Lindsay Lohan’s comeback is going well. It’s not the car crash many predicted; her West End debut in Speed-the-Plow has gone down well with critics and even her wardrobe has undergone a chic-over. ‘Doesn’t Lindsay look demure here,’ says Marie Claire’s junior fashion editor Holly Welch. ‘Possibly like she’s just left her floor-to-ceiling glass office in a big bank in the city, but who cares? It works. It’s calm, classic and kind of fun, too.’ Welcome back, Li-Lo.
A Lesson In How To Wear A Trouser Suit, By Kristen Stewart
We love this look, like, a lot. ‘There is absolutely nothing officey about this grey trouser suit,’ says our fashion gal Holly. ‘It’s super sexy and super cool, plus she’s rocking the bad ass attitude it needs.’ Can we also just point out how that baseball cap totally works. Consider us in awe, K-Stew.
Beyoncé Does Tourist Chic
Only the mighty Beyoncé would take in the sights of Paris wearing such an ensemble. The tight leather trousers and achingly high boots are enough to make us want to have a sit down and a pain au chocolat, but it’s just another day in the life of Queen Bey.
When Red Carpets Go Weird…
Selena Gomez found herself in the middle of a showbiz ménage à trois (hey, we’ve all been there) at the premiere of Rudderless. Husband and wife William H. Macy and Felicity Huffman took a shine to the starlet and she handled the attention like a boss (with only an undercurrent of panic) in her plunging LRD.
Kendall Jenner’s Broadway Debut (Sort Of)
Don’t panic Kendall isn’t (yet) treading the boards as well as the catwalk, but the model du jour was at the The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night-Time Fundraising Gala on Broadway last night, and looking weather-appropriately on-trend. ‘Kendall tried the tricky crop trop trend and made it look so easy,’ says Marie Claire’s fashion editor Lucia Debieux. ‘I love the skinny ribbed knit – see, crop tops aren’t just for summer.’
