The estranged couple will face each other in court this week
Katie Price and Peter Andre will face each other in court this week and things are expected to get nasty between the estranged pair.
Andre is suing his ex for slander, after Price insinuated that he had started a relationship with his manager Claire Powell.
She made the allegation publicly during an interview on the Graham Norton show last October. When Norton asked her if Andre was in a new relationship, she responded: ‘Apparently that was the nanny… Or his manager Claire.’
Further insinuations were made in a magazine interview, in which she stated: ‘The trouble is, before, I felt married to two people – Pete and our management.
‘And it was like Pete was married to two women, Claire and me. And it just suffocated me. If I’m going to blame anyone for the end of my relationship with Pete, I’d have to lay some of the blame with Claire.’
Ms Powell is expected to take to the stand to deny all claims that she enjoyed a relationship with the singer, while both Price and Andre are also expected to testify when the case starts this Thursday. Proceedings are expected to last for a week.
With both parties calling on a string of witnesses, the case is expected to go over the real reasons behind the couple’s split, and cover further controversies between the pair, including Price’s reluctance to let Peter see her son, Harvey.
