Paris Haute Couture Fashion Week will see the Autumn/Winter collections from the likes of Christian Dior, Giambattista Valli, Chanel, Elie Saab, Zuhair Murad, Giorgio Armani Privé, Schiaparelli, Versace and Valentino hit the runways.
Newlyweds Oliva Palermo and Johannes Huebl were among a slew of VIP guests that glittered the front row at the Valentino Couture show in Paris. The couple was in a state of wonderment as Valentino’s highly-anticipated gowns glided down the catwalk. Who wouldn’t be?
As Couture Week takes over Paris, the most elite fashion houses of the world put their couture designs on display in incredibly opulent performances that show the beauty and hard work that goes into creating every couture garment by hand.
As the Paris Couture shows continue. we’ll be bringing you the most spellbinding pictures from each fashion house’s catwalk, backstage and beyond.
Emma Watson looked lovely in lace. The young actress attended the Valentino Couture show in Paris wearing an intricately woven, midriff-baring Valentino co-ord outfit with a BLK DNM leather jacket on top.
After spending her pre-wedding day at Valentino’s Parisian Maison, it’s no surprise that Kim Kardashian was at the couture event to show her support for the designer.

Valentino went completely sheer for a number of gowns, adding a delicate touch to the couture catwalk looks.
The pristine garments that graced the runway featured new prints and textures in the classic shapes Valentino is known for.
Valentino is one of those designers who doesn’t have to stray too far from his norm to create magnificence. The signature Valentino Couture silhouette was in abundance, but that didn’t dampen the excitement and freshness throughout the show.
Though she’s a model, Alexandra Richards did not grace the Valentino Couture catwalks, Instead she sat in the front row and had the pleasure of watching her fabulous model compatriots strut their stuff in some of the most elegant garments in the world.
Gaultier is known for pushing boundaries and thinking of new ways to show his couture creations. He invited 60 year-old model Catherine Loewe to take a turn down the catwalk. She may have taken a little tumble, but she managed to finish with grace.
Gaultier went for gold – chain, that is. The debut of the Frenchman’s latest outlandish designs has always been a highlight of Couture Week in Paris.
The highlight of the Gaultier Couture show was when Conchita Wurst appeared on the catwalk as a black bride. Brilliant.
Lindsey Wixon has been all over Couture Week, and in bright pink at the Elie Saab Couture show.
We’re in absolute awe of Elie Saab’s intricately embroidered couture creations. And they’re all constructed by hand.

After the couture show in Paris, we got the full effect of the lavish gowns Elie Saab created, from backstage.
The final Elie Saab couture look was totally to die for. How much would you love to get married in that?
We’ll never see a snap of Martin Margiela mingling with his guests, but we were quite satisfied to see these lovely ladies in the Maison’s Artisanal line front row. Blogger Hanneli Mustaparta and DJ Leigh Lezark looked ravishing as they sat together to watch the show in contrasting looks.
Maison Martin Margiela’s Artisanal collection was an eclectic mix of colour and texture. The models’ masks were also a visual treat.
Each catwalk look built upon the last as if the whole show were an excerpt from Margiela’s incredible stream of conciousness.
Giorgio Armani and Chloë Grace Moretz embrace as the Armani Privé show gets underway. The young starlet watched in amazement as the extraordinary couture looks hit the catwalk.

Silver screen legend Sophia Loren attended the Armani Privé show in Paris to support friend and fellow Italian, Giorgio Armani.
Each Armani Privé catwalk show is more surprising than the last. The wild creations that hit the runway this year were enchanting and bold.
The Armani Privé collections are always an excuse for Giorgio Armani to fulfil fantasies and create garments that are out of this world, but draw upon history or even previous collections.
It is said that this Armani Privé collection is heavily influenced by a collection Armani designed nearly 25 years ago that calls upon Japanese Kabuki theatre.
Whether or not you’re a fan of Kristen’s latest hairstyle, you have to admit that she aced summer make-up at Paris Couture Fashion Week. Switching her usual heavy black kohl for brown shadow and matching liner was a nice summer touch compared to her usual grungy style.

Chanel’s signature quilting was also abundant in the collection. This suit paired the classic fabric with modern structuring.
King Karl took a stroll down the runway arm-in-arm with a model who was seven months pregnant in a regal white gown.

Charlize Theron was a vision in gold as she blew kisses from the front row of the Dior show, arm-in-arm with partner Sean Penn.
Olivia Palermo’s neat and precise style was as elegant as always as she showed us her full look. We love the mesh shoes, by the way.
Raf Simons wowed us once again with a new silhouette we’re sure will catch on. Reminiscent of 18th Century panniers, the couture contours were vase-like and oh-so-elegant.
Dior also mixed in intricate weaving to display the technicality of the couture atelier.
The wide, curvaceous figures of the frocks that glided down the catwalk put the entire audience in a state of awe.
We particularly love this seemingly space-inspired gown, complete with full hoop skirt.
Elsa Schiaparelli’s revived fashion house has been living up to its former fantastical glory with wild creations hitting the Paris Couture runway under the direction of Marco Zanini.
Creative Director Marco Zanini has taken on a challenging role at the recently rebooted helm of Schiaparelli: embodying Elsa Schiparelli’s iconic surrealist designs of the 1930s.
To perfect the look, Zanini sent the Schiaparelli Couture models down the catwalk in Stephen Jones Millinery.
The main A-list FROWer for the Atelier Versace show was the ever-flawless Jennifer Lopez who worked it, and then worked it some more, for the ensembled photographers.
J-Lo took her spot next to Donatella Versace ahead of the fashion house’s autumn/winter 2014 couture show. About the haute couture collection, Donatella said: ‘Atelier Versace is true couture. I wanted to celebrate construction and deconstruction, provoking by taking away fabric, to make couture modern.’

Jourdan Dunn modelled one of the voluminous ballgowns ‘à la Versace’.
The Atelier Versace couture collection featured dreamy ballgowns all delivered with a typically sexy Versace twist. Think dangerously high splits and deconstructed tailoring.
