Kirsty is a London-based writer and editor, specialising in entertainment and travel. Currently, she works for a number of national publications, including Marie Claire, The Sunday Times, The Telegraph, Daily Mail Weekend magazine, Woman’s Weekly, My Weekly and Platinum.
Previously, she spent 10 years interviewing big-name celebrities and reviewing TV shows for a living on the Daily Express, Daily Star and Daily Mirror newspaper supplements, and there were plenty of ‘pinch me’ moments – whether it was grilling Kylie Minogue on her best beauty tips or hearing about conservation issues from Sir David Attenborough.
A graduate of London’s City University, where she studied for a postgraduate diploma in magazine journalism, Kirsty’s first job was on Your & Your Wedding magazine where she interviewed brides-to-be, called in beautiful wedding gowns for shoots and wrote honeymoon reviews. She’s still not quite sure why she left… It was here that Kirsty’s love of travel began, inspiring her to begin her own travel blog, TravelLuxe.co.uk, on the side. She went on to commission the travel content for the Daily Express Saturday magazine, reviewing everything from luxury hotels in the Indian Ocean to cosy cottages in the Cotswolds. When she’s not working, Kirsty is usually lining up her next trip abroad, heading to a yoga class or tuning into a good Netflix series with a large glass of wine.
