Angelina Jolie has completely crossed over to the dark side of fashion.

She and her Maleficent costar Elle Fanning have been having a bit of fun with their red-carpet style choices over the past week, as each seems to be taking inspiration from their iconic characters.

While Elle (who plays Princess Aurora) has been choosing light, airy and innocent ensembles, Angelina has gone in the opposite direction. So far, she's worn three different looks for her Malecifent press tour, and each one offered a subtle nod to her villainous role.

On Monday night, she kept her all-black look simple and let her witchy, horn-heel shoes do the talking. Then last night, she stunned in a gorgeous custom-made Atelier Versace gown. But the draped silhouette and the subtle points at the end of her sleeves gave the look that unmistakable Malecifent feel.

For her third press event this morning, the 38-year-old actress strayed away from basic black. But her chic white frock stayed on theme, thanks to a smattering of ominous birds and dead tree branches. She kept the witchy tones going right down to her toes, showing off a white version of those eye-catching horn heels.

And, of course, she finished off the look with blood-red lippy that would make Maleficent flash that wicked grin.

We love that Angelina and Elle have managed to inject a bit of playful costuming into their press tour wardrobes without ever looking silly or gimmicky. We can't wait to see what's next.
