Kate Thornton, founder at TBSeen
Kate Thornton is the Founder of TBSeen, a female focused online shopping portal that fuses content with the best deals on the market to create a shoppable site that guarantees the user money back every time they shop.
She began her career in journalism writing a column for the Daily and Sunday Mirror before becoming the youngest and first female editor of Smash Hits in 1995. She then went on to work as a Contributing Editor at Marie Claire and the Sunday Times Style Magazine.
In 1997 Kate began working onscreen as a TV and radio presenter. Her credits have included X Factor, Pop Idol, The Brits, The Royal Variety Performance, Holiday, This Morning, Loose Women and Radio 2.
Phoebe Gormley , founder Gormley & Gamble and Neutrogena ambassador
Phoebe Gormley is a 23 year old entrepreneur and owner of the first tailor exclusively for women in the history of Savile Row; Gormley & Gamble. Having interned on the Row and Jermyn Street from a young age, tailoring was always a passion of Phoebe’s. She soon began to realise that there was a gap in the market for bespoke womenswear; elegant, intelligent designs of Savile Row quality and fit. And so she took a ‘Gamble’ – quitting university and using what would have been her final year’s tuition fees to start her own business. She made her first sale in October 2014, from a small office in the City, and can now be found at 13 Savile Row.
Phoebe was named on Forbes’ ‘30 Under 30 Europe’ list earlier this year. Her recent accolades include a Marie Claire Future Shapers Award in 2016, awarded by headline sponsor Neutrogena for resilience and ambition in business. She is attending the panel discussion on behalf of Neutrogena, as an ambassador for the brand’s belief in supporting the next generation of inspirational women to pursue their dreams and achieve their goals, pushing the boundaries and seeing what’s possible.
Vanita Parti MBE, founder at blinkbrowbar
blinkbrowbar founder, Vanita Parti MBE, is the pioneer of the walk-in brow bar and largely responsible for bringing the ancient technique of threading into the 21st century. She launched the first ever blinkbrowbar in 2004 and with an award winning line up of products and services Vanita has now done for brows what walk-in nail bars have done for nails.
Vanita was the first to launch the concept of eyebrow threading bars in department stores to allow for easy access, no fuss and a quick treatment. Since then, the company’s domination continues –is now known by stores as a high density and hugely successful brand with 24 branches across the UK and US.
Vanita is a support of Butterflies, the Delhi based charity supporting working and street children with a proceed of blinkbrowbar’s profits going to the organization.
