We doubt the Queen is worried about having her thunder stolen...

Announcing their engagement last year, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle are set to wed in a matter of days on May 19th at St. George’s Chapel, in Windsor castle.

While there’s not long until the big day, there’s still plenty of wedding prep for the royal family and its guests, from finding the perfect Philip Treacy-style fascinator to buying the newlyweds a fitting wedding present – what to get the couple who has everything!

The Queen has already set the bar pretty high, supposedly not only gifting the newlyweds an official title (Duke and Duchess of Sussex apparently) but also giving them a stately home on her Sandringham estate, with the bookies suggesting it will be York Cottage.

French President Emmanuel Macron has also chosen his wedding present for the couple, choosing a James Bond themed gift from luxury Paris-based brand S.T. Dupont - the 007 collection, including a travel case, a gold cigar cutter, a lighter, pens and cuff links, all stamped with the iconic 007 logo.

Those two presents are going to be very hard to beat, and one person who doesn't even seem to be trying to compete is Donald Trump, set to be giving the newlyweds an unexpected present on behalf of the United States of America.

The gift in question? A bowl.

Yes, really.

Traditionally, US heads of state have given bowls to royal family members as wedding presents, with Ronald and Nancy Raegan giving Princess Diana and Prince Charles a glass bowl in 1981, and Harry Truman gifting Queen Elizabeth and Prince Philip a bowl on their 1947 wedding day.

It is therefore expected that Trump will follow suit.

Neither Trump nor the royals have commented on the potential gift, but we doubt it will live up to York Cottage.
