‘Lost in Shanghai’ Brunch at Hakkasan Hanway Place with Rock Angel

There aren’t many other ways to describe the feeling of walking through Hakkasan’s heavy doors other than pure excitement. It was the same the first time I visited around 13 years ago and twice since. The atmosphere is fun and as for the food: this is a masterclass in culinary excellence. It really is quite special.

Granted, it can easily be an expensive (but obviously delicious) meal so understandably some save it for a very special occasion. But, the brilliant thing is they have several activations throughout the year, including concept menus and brunches at set prices.

For Spring, the ‘Lost in Shanghai’ brunch series in partnership with Rock Angel rosé, is a celebration of elegance and energy. The menu is set at £128 per person and includes a signature martini cocktail on arrival (there’s something for everyone’s palate: Lychee (tangy), Cold Brew (revitalising) or Pornstar (sweet). After that, there’s a special bottle of Rock Angel, Château d’Esclans (per person may we add)) to be enjoyed with three delicious courses. For those that can’t resist the signature Peking duck, for an additional fee, you can upgrade your brunch too (£130).

There are two more brunch sessions (Saturday 27th April and Saturday 25th May)—you really don’t want to miss out.

To note: For April—Autism Awareness Month—Hakkasan and Yauatcha (both from the Tao Group Hospitality) have introduced a limited-edition cocktail and dessert with 10% of profits of each item sold going to Child Autism UK.
