The designer has launched a transactional website for the first time in her eponymous label's history

Victoria Beckham’s growing fashion empire just got even better, as the designer launches her debut e-commerce website.

Previously just an online lookbook for the label’s collections, the new site, victoriabeckham.com, will be transactional and offer VB fans the opportunity to shop online for the first time in the brand’s history.

Upon entering the revamped web platform the user is prompted with a page that gives them the option to ‘Look’ or to ‘Shop’. The former will showcase ever-changing brand content including footage from the designer’s must-see catwalk shows, documentary snippets, design inspiration and news, while the latter will feature her main ready-to-wear collection, the more contemporary Victoria, Victoria Beckham line, accessories, eyewear and denim.

Other products up for grabs from today include an exclusive selection of reissued dresses from previous seasons in a variety of fabrics and colours that the former Spice Girl wears herself. The Icon collection currently offers five dresses with new pieces dropping online every few months.

Victoria told us exclusively: ‘I have been an online shopper for quite a long time. Since I travel so often, e-commerce can be with me wherever I go, they can ship to wherever I'll be, so for me it's very convenient.’

She added: ‘With victoriabeckham.com I am to offer the upmost experience in online shopping. I think people expect the best from me, and I want to deliver them the best. I wanted to offer a sophisticated, cool yet easy shopping experience for my customer.'

As well as transactional sales, the new site will also feature interactive social media tools that allow visitors to share content across their own personal accounts, as well as the numerous Victoria Beckham channels including Twitter and Facebook.

To complete the luxury shopping experience, the site will also boast a dedicated team of multi-lingual ‘client service associates’ that you can phone for style advice and buying assistance, plus same-day delivery for shoppers in London.
