Get into the spirit of the London 2012 games with the latest offering from Ashish for Topshop
With the London 2012 Olympics just days away, there's never been a better time to channel the sporty look. Luckily for us, help is at hand with the release of the new Ashish for Topshop collection.
The new line, the eighth capsule range from London Fashion Week designer Ashish Gupta for the high street giant, is jam-packed with fashion goodies to ensure you get into the spirit of the upcoming games.
From marl grey sweaters and slouchy tees with 'loser' emblazoned across the front to baseball-style jackets and jogging bottoms printed with the flags of the world, the 9-piece collection is a typically tongue-in-cheek take on sporty style.
The Delhi-born designer first started collaborating with Topshop in 2004 when he won New Generation sponsorship, with his ranges regularly mixing sportswear with more glamorous styles, often with those Ashish hallmarks – twinkling sequins, bright colours and prints.
Ashish said in a statement: 'I was rubbish at sports in school, and I was always the last one chosen for the football team! So I can relate to being the 'loser'! I want to celebrate the underdog, the runner-up, the ones that don’t get the medals!'
