Beyoncé surprised fans when she made the last-minute confirmation that she would be performing at the Brit Awards 2014 Wednesday night. And her buzzworthy appearance definitely did not disappoint.

The global superstar, 32, flew in from Scotland early Wednesday morning and began preparations on her uber-glam performance look.

She skipped out on the red carpet (because she's Beyoncé and she can't do whatever she wants) - but when she took the stage, we knew we were in for another major Queen Bey moment.

Dressed in a form-fitting Vrettos Vrettakos gown comprised of 140,000 Swarvoski Crystals blue zirgon, the singer sparkled on stage. She finished off the look with long blonde curls and plenty of bling.

But as usual, it was Bey's voice that really dazzled, as she belted out her song "XO" for the very first time on television.

After the show, she ditched her heels for trainers, threw on a jacket (with the the words 'Picasso Baby,' a reference to hubbie Jay-Z's song) and boarded her private jet. Clearly she was in a hurry to take off, considering she didn't even bother changing out of her glam gown. (And to think we travel in joggers!)

But, of course, Bey wasn't quite so rushed that she didn't have time to snap a few Instagram selfies. There's always time for that!
