Jennifer Lawrence’s spokesperson reveals the real reason why she didn’t attend on Sunday night

Jennifer Lawrence sadly couldn’t make it to the MTV Movie Awards over the weekend, much to the disappointment of her many fans but amidst rumours the network was embarrassed by the star’s no show, her representative has now explained the situation.

JENNIFER LAWRENCE STUNS IN HUNGER GAMES: CATCHING FIRE TRAILER

Speaking to Gossip Cop Jennifer Lawrence’s spokesperson informed them that her hectic schedule prevented her from attending the awards show. Jennifer is currently filming the as yet untitled film about the 70s Abscam scandal.

Despite being unable to make it to the MTV Movie Awards Jennifer Lawrence’s presence was most certainly felt! As her Silver Linings Playbook co-star, Bradley Cooper collected their award for Best Kiss he told the crowds: ‘Thanks so much. Jen's not here. I'm sorry. I know. But, she was great to kiss.’

Cheeky!

And that’s not all, she was also centre of attention as the trailer for The Hunger Games: Catching Fire debuted at the show with all eyes firmly fixed on Jen’s revival of Katniss Everdeen on the big screen.

While this no-doubt delighted Jennifer Lawrence fans they were certainly left wanting more after MTV decided against broadcasting the announcement of the three other awards she received on the night. These included Best Female Performance, Best Scared As S**t Performance and Best Onscreen Duo.

Her mantelpiece must be getting pretty full with all of those and an Oscar!
