Geordie singer Cheryl Cole has reportedly been told by her accountants that her UK tour budget is getting out of control and she could end up losing money.

According to The Sun, Cheryl has been warned that she is pouring so much cash into her shows for her first solo tour - which she's modeling on events by Katy Perry, Rihanna, Jay-Z and Kanye West - that she may not even make the money back from ticket sales.

A source told the paper: 'Cheryl wants to make her show as amazing as possible and if that means spending a load of cash on it, so be it.

'If it were a longer tour, she would make money back from ticket sales. But the ideas she’s coming up with at the moment are not going to come cheap.'

The Girls Aloud star-turned-solo artist is going to play 11 UK dates in October, with her first show scheduled in Belfast.

Just last week, she released her new video for the single Under the Sun, and showed off a retro 60s look with a bouffant beehive, crop top and fluoro orange fitted pencil skirt.
