Is this more proof that Bran Stark is the Night King in Game of Thrones?

Spoilers, spoilers and obviously more spoilers. And more proof.

This season of Game of Thrones was filled with twists, turns and important revelations. Jon's heritage is undeniable at this point, and although he's yet to find out he got down and dirty with Aunt Daenerys, we were all screaming 'YOU KNOW NOTHING, JON SNOW!' when he stroked Drogon's nose and the dragon didn't even flinch.

Sam revealed Gilly's news that Rhaegar Targaryen actually married Lyanna Stark, making Jon Snow not a bastard at all but Aeogon Targaryen, aka the Targaryen with the strongest claim to the throne (sorry, Dany).

To top it all off, Cersei is pregnant Jaime's baby and is deluded enough to think she has time to prime said baby up to be the next leader of the seven kingdoms before the White Walkers get to her. If Maggy the Frog's prophecy comes true, though, their tiny bundle of incest could just be the Mad Queen's undoing.

And what of the North? Littlefinger is no longer creeping about Winterfell because Sansaaaaa finally got a clue, and Arya has probably added him to her handbag of peeled-off faces.

But what can we expect from Bran in Game of Thrones season 8? Other than making wholly inappropriate comments about his sister, and giving poor old Meera a less than satisfactory goodbye, he's been pretty quiet. However, there is now more proof than ever that he's more than just a Stark...

Bran is no longer Bran but the Three Eyed Raven, and one Reddit user previously made a plausible claim that he could actually be the Night King, aka leader of those terrifying White Walkers. How? Let's take a look.

The theory begins with Bran travelling back in time in an attempt to warg his way into the body of the man who the Children of the Forest stabbed in the heart with dragonglass. This man would become the Night King, so Bran would be time travelling to stop this from ever happening in the first place by trying to convince them not to go ahead with the plan.

When the Children of the Forest don't believe Bran's protests, they stab the man while Bran is still in his body - making him the Night King.

If we go all the way back to season six episode five, The Door (don't worry, we're still crying about it too), we see how the White Walkers are created. Interestingly, Bran against the rock mirrors the Night King against the tree exactly, and the frame-to-frame transition between both Bran and the Night King's eyes could be hinting at the fact that they are the same person.

Not convinced? Well when Leaf spoke to Bran and he asked her: 'It was you? You made the White Walkers?' she replied: 'We were at war. We were being slaughtered. Our sacred trees cut down. We needed to defend ourselves.'

Bran then asks: 'From who?' To which Leaf replies: 'From you.'

From 'you', as in - the Night King? Hmmm?

There's also the fact that Bran and the Night King make some very similar sartorial choices.

Now, fans believe that the finale contained a huge clue about Bran's real identity. When the wights marched past the wall and into mainland Westeros, the birds-eye view saw them walking in a formation that looks VERY much like the Stark Sigil - the wolf.

Is this proof that Bran is the Night King? Does it symbolise that the wights are coming for the Starks? Or are the undead just really bad at following the leader?

Well, we've got a whole two years to speculate...
