Police called in to protect 12 finalists from screaming fans at their London home
The 12 X Factor finalists have had their first taste of celebrity worship, as fans stormed their London home.
Hoards of screaming fans camped outside X Factor HQ last night, eager for a glimpse of their new heros.
Police were even called to the house in Golders Green, north London, in a bid to control the crowds as the acts left home for rehearsals.
Many teenage fans climbed over barriers and pressed the intercom in the hope one of the finalists would answer, says the Daily Mail.
This Saturday is the first live show when the public gets to vote on the first act to be booted off the singing contest.
Robbie Williams has been mentoring the acts all week. He will also be performing his new single Bodies on tomorrow’s show.
The frontrunner to win X Factor this year is teacher Danyl Johnson (above, (C) with Olly Murs (L) and Jamie Archer (R)).
Danyl is being mentored by judge Simon Cowell, who says he is going to win the contest with one of the over-25s this year.
Lucie Jones, Stacey Solomon, Joseph McElderry and Rachel Adedeji
The 12 acts will sing for the public vote on Saturday and the two with the lowest number of votes will sing again – with the judges having the final say.
But the results will not be known until the show on Sunday night.
