Seriously inspiring

We're big fans of TV show Girls (here's everything we know about Girls season 6 so far including spoilers - you have been warned), but recently its creator Lena Dunham, and her co-star Jemima Kirke, have done something really great in the name of body positivity. And we very much approve.

The pair have starred in an unretouched lingerie shoot together, which is part of an ongoing body confidence photo project curated by New Zealand lingerie brand, Lonely. And the pictures are giving us serious #bodyconfidencegoals (on a side note, the bathroom is also very, very nice)...

We already know that Lena is a big fan of the brand, as she's previously posted pictures of herself wearing some of their designs to her Instagram.

The brand describe their products as those which 'embrace and empower' women, and are all about a 'sense of positive body image and freedom of expression'. Pretty powerful stuff.

There's an important message behind the photos, too: According to its website, the project, appropriately entitled The Lonely Girls Project, is all about 'candid portraits of inspiring women in their natural environments wearing Lonely, their way.' You can view the project in its entirety at diary.lonelyheartslabel.com, featuring women from all over the world in various lingerie styles.

'Each of the women who participate in this project is empowered because they are not objectified; they are part of a conversation that disrupts paradigms around the way lingerie is presented.

'Giving a glimpse into their world, we hope, amplifies this conversation and makes us all feel a little more liberated and comfortable in our own underwear.'

We're big fans of women celebrating their bodies, so this all gets a big yes from us.
