Kate Middleton and Prince William are making plans to move into Anmer Hall on the Queen's private Sandringham Estate in Norfolk 'sooner rather than later'.

The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge will settle Prince George into his new home in north Norfolk after the house was gifted to them by the Queen in the run up to his birth.

The 10-bedroom Georgian mansion, one of the Queen's favourites from her 150 property collection, will act as a rural retreat from the couple's primary London residence, the 20-room Kensington Palace.

Both properties are due to undergo renovations as Kate and Wills don their metaphorical hard hats to make it a home fit for a Prince.

For security, they have been granted planning permission on Anmer Hall to accommodate a new housing block (thought to be for security), plant new trees and shrubs for privacy and re-route the main gates to the driveway.

Kate and William will be pleased of the fact that photography is no longer permitted on the estate, avoiding any unwanted incidences of leaked private photos.

Norfolk police have confirmed that they are recruiting extra Firearms Officers to guard the property on a 24 hour by 7 day a week basis.

Meanwhile, for Prince George's amusement, the house has a swimming pool plus a tennis court and is close to Holkham beach. Also, the sitting room area and garden room are expecting renovations, presumably to welcome visitors for the royal son.

We'll be round for tea soon, guys.
