What I’ve seen isn’t gossip so much as a noisy confidence among strangers: a sense that they are entitled to instruct Brooklyn Beckham on how to conduct his relationship with his own family.

I have seen grown women—and men, but often it is women—leave warnings gussied up as advice under the elder Beckham’s posts. And herein lies the problem. Because we all come from families—regardless of how harmonious or fractured they may be—everyone feels qualified to dole out advice. Much of it is no doubt well-meaning, but it undermines the very real pain caused by family estrangement.

I’ve spent a great deal of time occupying this space, both professionally and personally. I’ve interviewed countless people estranged from mothers, fathers, siblings—the whole shebang—and, as I’ve alluded to in those stories, I have my own experience with family estrangement. Does that qualify me to offer advice? No, of course not. My situation is entirely different from Brooklyn’s, and more than that, I know nothing of his.

Both parties have, in various guises, shared their versions of events. But it’s worth remembering that even in families where everyone lives under one roof, each person has their own experience. Siblings I’ve spoken to often report feeling as though they were raised by entirely different parents. And yet many of the most prominent—or at least most vocal—armchair psychologists have pointed to the seeming tightness of the Beckham unit sans Brooklyn. This tells us nothing.

Right now, questions are being volleyed across office floors, around family tables, in innumerable group chats. Should he have spoken out? What really happened? Where can we find a video of that wedding dance?

The implication here is that Brooklyn Beckham owes us clarity. That clarity would make us comfortable. We could soothe ourselves in the knowledge that this could never happen to our family. But families aren’t plays with a third-act reveal. They resemble something closer to weather systems, and as such, they change—often in ways totally unexpected even to the people within their orbit. What they don’t do is exist to be understandable and palatable to strangers, even well-meaning ones.

What’s striking about the fixation on Brooklyn’s relationship with his parents isn’t just the entitlement; it’s the moralising. Estrangement, in this instance, is being treated like a failure of gratitude, but being raised with privilege doesn’t protect anyone from the possibility of pain.

Collectively, we seem to have written a cultural script for families—especially glossy, famous ones like the Beckhams. When that image is challenged, it unsettles us. So we look for someone to blame. Often, it’s the child who steps away.

Brooklyn has been branded “spoilt,” “ungrateful,” a “loser.” Column inches have been dedicated to the fact that “he’d be nothing without his famous parents.” Commenters on social media have cruelly pointed out that he’d never have “bagged” his wife without his surname, and he should therefore be eternally grateful to have been born into the brand Beckham. I’ve seen this play out with estranged children without a famous pedigree, too. Something about estrangement—especially parental estrangement, and even more so when it involves the mother—deeply rattles people.

Much has been written about the way culture collapses nuance into spectacle, how the internet flattens people into archetypes that can be debated and discarded. Brooklyn Beckham is currently being flattened into “estranged son,” a role that demands context but denies any complexity. We want the mess, but only if it’s narratively satisfying.

It’s also worth asking why we assume reconciliation is the only acceptable outcome. Some relationships change shape. Some need distance to survive. And yes, some end. Social media is stuffed with chatter about boundaries, mental health, and “protecting our peace.” And yet, when someone actually enacts them—especially someone famous—we recoil. We demand to know what happened and, damn it, we want a reason good enough to satisfy us.

Maybe there is one. Maybe there isn’t. No one knows what happens inside a family except the people in it. Even then, everyone’s version is different.

Brooklyn Beckham doesn’t owe us anything. Not the gory details, nor the reassurance that our own families are somehow safer by comparison. The discomfort this story stirs up belongs to us, not to him.

This comes at something of an optimum time for Beckham, who this autumn will be the subject of her own docuseries with Netflix. Her husband’s equivalent series on the streaming giant, Beckham, scored one of the platform’s biggest audiences in 2023, according to Deadline, a promising yet largely unsurprising stat when you think about how this is a couple who has effectively dominated the worlds of sport, fashion, beauty and celebrity for most of their adult lives.

Tudum’s article continues, “the upcoming doc promises to get up close and personal with the former pop star as she juggles her business and family life”. This ability to weave the professional and the private has always been distinctly VB.

On Instagram, her grid is a careful mix of family and fashion, with holiday snaps of her increasingly grown-up brood sitting comfortably next to glossy ad campaigns for Victoria Beckham Eyewear, which she launched along with her beauty range in 2019. In an era when women’s bodies were relentlessly scrutinised, and Heat magazine and Perez Hilton were ready with a felt-tipped “ring of shame” for those which were deemed unacceptable, it was the perfect show off foil for yoga-honed limbs.

The 2025, full circle moment comes of course on the back of the Ozempic boom, protein-body-mantras and eradication of the marginal inroads which had been made by the body positivity movement. An acute interest in the size of celebrities' bodies (from Ariana Grande to Kelly Osbourne) has returned with a depressing vengeance.

The fashion world has spearheaded the move backwards; curve model bookings are down to a dribbling low, catwalk-led clothes are getting smaller, tighter and intended for small bodies only. The bandage dress return comes of course with marketing backing. Hervé Leger will mark its 40th anniversary this September, House of CB which launched on the back of imitating the classic style, reissued the dress to make its own 15 year birthday.

The hype is heavy; but so is the aversion to bigger bodies. This week Marc Jacobs showed a collection which again played with proportion with exaggerated bellies and breasts heaving out of the tiny model’s bodies. The bulges were all material; no curve models were cast. Instead it showed a horror show fascination with fat, which with a quick unzip (or GLP-1 prick) can be shed.

Meanwhile in Venice, the Bezos-Sanchez wedding extravaganza allowed both bride and guests to unveil their heavily sculpted bodies in exacting corsetry and figure-clinging couture, seen as a de rigeur aesthetic for the new, obvious, flashy monied world order.

"Brooklyn is trying to let things go right now and is giving everyone space," the source added, explaining that he and his wife are "just doing their own thing. They have their own separate lives and have been carrying on for now."

In an additional story for the Metro, another insider claimed that "Victoria is upset that things have escalated to this point" and that their oldest son "has made his position clear" leaving "[Victoria] and David heartbroken." However, a source close to Nicola told the paper: "It’s sad that a simple statement of love and appreciation for his wife is being manipulated into something that it isn’t."

Let's hope the family are able to patch things up soon!

Princess Kate is known for sending messages with her outfit choices. So when she wore a Victoria Beckham suit for her latest engagement, was that a deliberate show of support for the designer amid her rumoured family feud? Well, we'll never know for sure, but it's certainly a theory that certain royal watchers believe holds water.

On Tuesday 13th May, the Princess of Wales visited the British Fashion Council at 180 Studios in London, where she also presented the Queen Elizabeth II Award for British Design to Patrick McDowell — a British leader in sustainable luxury fashion. Of course, it's expected that the Princess would wear clothes by a British designer to the event, which is sure to have been a major driver behind the choice.

Kate looked radiant in an olive green suit jacket and matching, slightly flared trousers by Victoria Beckham, worn over a white blouse and accessorised with drop earrings. She wore her long hair down and wavy.

Writing on Instagram after the event, the Prince and Princess of Wales said: "Honoured to present the Queen Elizabeth II Award for British Design to @patrick__mcdowell. A huge well done to Patrick, whose bold, sustainable vision is helping to shape the future of British fashion. Their commitment to creativity, community and circular design is truly inspiring."

Prince William and Kate have a long-standing friendship with the Beckhams. It's also not the first time the Princess has worn Victoria's designs - over the years, Kate has been seen wearing Victoria's designs at various public events.

Meanwhile, a source close to the Beckhams spoke to the Mirror about Kate's latest fashion statement, claiming: "The Princess of Wales has worn Victoria's designs before and it's really great to see that she's wearing one again, especially as the outfit was not gifted and was very much her own call to wear it. Both couples support each other's charities and David and William are friends too, so there is a great deal of mutual respect there."

Victoria's family has come under the spotlight recently as there have been mounting rumours about a feud between the mum of four and her eldest son Brooklyn, and his wife Nicola Peltz. Speculation of a rift between Victoria and Nicola has been simmering for a number of years, but the couple's decision to skip David Beckham's 50th birthday last week is the latest development that's raising eyebrows about their family relationships. So, whether purposeful or not, Kate's show of support for Victoria came at a significant time.

Victoria Beckham appears to be locked in an alleged feud with her eldest son Brooklyn Beckham, 26, and his wife Nicola Peltz.

Last week, David Beckham celebrated his 50th birthday with friends and family in London, but Brooklyn and Nicola decided to skip the festivities, as reported by Us Weekly. Their absence was all the more bizarre since all of Brooklyn's siblings, Romeo, 22, Cruz, 20, and Harper, 13, were in attendance.

A source has subsequently told the Daily Mail that Brooklyn has 'cut contact' with his famous parents.

They said (via the Standard): "There has been no call, no contact, nothing. As parents, David and Victoria are concerned for their son and they have tried to get in touch but he isn’t interested.

"David even tried through social media last Monday because he fears that his son won’t know that he and Victoria love him so dearly otherwise.

"It is a terribly sad situation. They just want him to know that they are there for him when he’s ready to talk to them but he simply doesn’t seem very interested at all."

A source who spoke to Hello! corroborated what the Mail's insider revealed.

"David has reached out already and will fly out to see Brooklyn if necessary," the source said.

"They are going to put this fire out; David has said that he wants the dust to settle and for everyone to talk when emotions have settled down."

It's long been rumoured that Victoria and Nicola don't get on — so much so that the younger woman felt compelled to address the rumours in 2022. She denied that there was a feud happening, telling the Sunday Times: "It’s not a feud! I keep seeing everywhere that word, 'feud, feud, feud!' I don’t know why they say 'feud?' I mean, maybe they picked up on something? And now they’re labelling it 'feud?'"

She continued: "No family is perfect. No family."

A source recently told Us Weekly that, when it comes to Brooklyn and Nicola: "It just seems like every event — from weddings to birthdays to holidays — there’s a drama."

Meanwhile, some fans believe that Nicola purposefully omitted Victoria from her Mother's Day tributes on Instagram, after sharing sweet messages for her own mother and late grandmother.

Nobody doubts Victoria Beckham's business acumen.

After all, the icon has built a fashion and beauty empire from the ground up under her name, and remains as relevant today as she was in the '90s as part of the Spice Girls—if not more so.

But every business mogul worth her salt knows that there's always room to expand, and Victoria is capitalising on this idea right now.

In fact, Posh Spice seems to be taking a couple of pages out of Meghan Markle's book right now: not only is she expanding her product offering, but she's also releasing a Netflix docuseries!

A new UK trademark application was published for Victoria which was filed on 3 February, for items in the Class 8 and Class 20 categories, suggesting she plans to sell items in those classes.

Class 8 includes items under the cutlery and tableware umbrella, while Class 20 covers soft furnishing and furniture.

"Firstly, the trademark bolsters her ability to take action against third parties who may be using the relevant name in the course of trade without consent," said an intellectual property lawyer speaking to the Mirror.

"The mere presence of these kinds of trademarks on the register can also act as a deterrent, where a third party is considering using the name without their consent.

"Secondly, it improves the ability to enter into agreements to commercialise the brand. By way of example, she may wish to license out the trademarks to partners and earn royalties that way."

The new additions are similar in nature to some of the items Meghan Markle reportedly plans to sell via her American Riviera Orchard brand, renamed As Ever just this week.

Victoria is making another significant career move that's reminiscent of Meghan's path: she's preparing to releasing a docuseries about her life on Netflix, following the success of her appearance on her husband's own documentary, titled simply Beckham.

Her doting husband David recently said: "I convinced her to actually let people see what she does every day and what goes into her business. She's a very clever and hard-working lady, so I want people to see that."

Meghan and her husband Prince Harry have already released several Netflix docs in the past, and the Duchess is preparing to release her new cooking show, called With Love, Meghan. An interesting link between the two women, who are rumoured to be somewhat at odds at the moment.

Since Prince Harry and Meghan Markle's departure from royal life in 2020, the couple has relocated to the US and built careers for themselves outside of the monarchy. Harry's memoir Spare became an instant best-seller following its release in 2023, and their Netflix docu-series Harry & Meghan holds the record for the biggest documentary debut on the streaming platform.

However, the transition away from royal life hasn't been plain sailing for the pair. As well as fragile familial relationships, Harry and Meghan have reportedly grown apart from some of their A-list friends - most notably, Victoria and David Beckham. Although the two couples were seemingly close when the Sussexes lived in the UK, many publications have claimed that there was a fallout following 'leaked details' from the royal wedding in 2018.

According to one source, Victoria has been 'hurt by the accusations that she was spreading gossip', but has reportedly 'mellowed' and is 'more forgiving than people realise'. However, despite the same insider claiming that Meghan has reached out to Victoria to build bridges, the wider family isn't too keen for Victoria to mend the friendship.

The source told In Touch: "The problem is David and her boys are still holding a major grudge. They’re super protective of her and don’t feel like she should give Meghan or Harry another chance. They’re just so offended and angry on her behalf and think she’d being way too nice about it all. As far as they’re concerned there is no going back."

The same insider added that David's loyalty lies with the Prince and Princess of Wales, who have had a strained relationship with Prince Harry since his royal departure. The source claimed: "[David] loves hanging out with William and has sided with him and Kate completely. If William and Harry mend fences then David would be more open to it, but as of now he’s dead set against it.

"[It] does put Victoria in an awkward position because she’s not going to go against her husband’s wishes, even if she is ready to let bygones be bygones, David is clearly not and she has to respect that."

Earlier this week, David called himself a 'huge royalist' during an interview in Davos at the World Economic Forum. Discussing his ongoing work with the family, he said: "I always get emotional talking about anything that I do with our Royal Family. I was brought up in a household that adored and loved everything that came with the Royal Family."

Victoria Beckham attended an event at Buckingham Palace with husband David Beckham in December, but the dress she wore at the time is just now going viral.

That's because Posh Spice, who of course has graduated to fashion design since her girl band days, posted some absolutely jaw-dropping photos of herself wearing said dress on Instagram this week.

The gown, which is from her eponymous label, is a full-length creation in an appropriately regal shade of deep purple, finished with a train for good measure. It has bold shoulder pads and a high neckline, and is form-fitting down to the thighs before flaring out into a mermaid-style skirt. It also features a circle cinching detail around the hips.

Describing the fabulous piece on Instagram, Victoria wrote: "Rooted in a desire to dress women for every occasion, my new capsule embodies the essence of timeless elegance. I designed the Circle Detail Gown in rich Blackberry to flatter and enhance the body. For me, it strikes the perfect balance between subtle refinement and high-octane drama. Victoria x"

Basically, it's safe to say nobody can get enough of this absolutely incredible dress — although as you can imagine, it comes at the rather steep price of £1,490.

Victoria first gave the dress a night out on 3 December when she wore it for a State Banquet at Buckingham Palace to mark the Emir of Qatar's state visit.

For the occasion, she accessorised with matching open-toed stilettos and a metallic clutch, wearing her hair simply pulled back into a neat low ponytail.

Victoria Beckham has opened up about why she rarely smiles for photos, and the candid interview is now going viral. Also known as 'Posh' during her days as a Spice Girl, Victoria's pouty persona followed her into her fashion career, and over the years there has been a lot of commentary about Victoria's 'serious' posing.

But she has often poked fun at the conversations around her smile - or lack of - through slogans (remember the 'Fashion Stole My Smile' t-shirts?) or during interviews. In a video for Vogue in 2015, she joked: "I'm smiling on the inside. I feel that I have a responsibility to the fashion community."

However, Victoria recently shared the heartbreaking real reason why she stopped smiling for photos in her early twenties. During an interview with The Telegraph, the designer explained that she initially avoided smiling in pictures because she felt overwhelmingly self-conscious about her skin during her time in the Spice Girls. She told the publication that it led to her adopting a strict diet to manage her acne, and that she felt 'uncomfortable' in front of a camera. Victoria explained: "It was because of my skin that I became very careful about what I ate... And yeah, probably I did look stern in a lot of pictures, but I was so uncomfortable."

She added: "Was there a time when I used to scroll through all the comments about me? Probably. But now I just don’t have the time."

Following the huge success of her husband David's Netflix docu-series Beckham, it was announced that Victoria will also star in her own show on the streaming platform. It will follow her as she juggles her fashion and beauty empire, with 'exclusive access to Victoria, her family, and those closest to her, the series explores her time in the global spotlight', per Netflix.

Victoria and David Beckham's relationship has been well documented over the last three decades, but the media's interest in their private lives was a focal point of the former footballer's Netflix documentary, Beckham. Airing last year, the series followed David's meteoric rise to fame after signing to Manchester United at just 14 years old - but it also detailed the media frenzy surrounding his relationship with Victoria when they first started dating in 1997.

Following the success of Beckham, Victoria is set to star in her own Netflix show. The streaming platform confirmed that the designer and former Spice Girl will have a docu-series of her own, and it will follow her fashion and beauty businesses.

Harper Beckham recently made a VERY public speech about her mum Victoria Beckham, and people loved how sweet the whole thing was.

Harper got on stage at the Harper's Bazaar Women of the Year 2024 awards on Tuesday to present Posh Spice with the Entrepreneur of the Year award for her self-titled fashion and beauty brand.

The 13-year-old immediately won people over when she arrived on stage and declared: "I'm so nervous!"

In a video from the event, shared by the Standard, the crowd can be heard aw-ing and giggling at the teen's words.

"Good evening, everyone," she continued. "I'm so excited to be here presenting the Entrepreneur of the Year award, especially as tonight is a school night. And hopefully this isn't going to get me into trouble."

Again, this line got Harper quite a few giggles.

"The winner is someone I have always looked up to," she added. "She’s built an incredible business from the ground up, and shown me the value of working hard, dreaming big and setting my standards.

"She’s taught me so much about what it takes to succeed. But above all else, she’s taught me to always be kind and even though she has a million things to do, she rarely misses the school run.

"Tonight I am so proud to present the Entrepreneur Of The Year award to a truly inspiring woman who means the world to me, my amazing mummy, Victoria Beckham."

Joining her daughter on stage to accept the award, Victoria told Harper: "I am so, so proud of you. I mean, getting up on stage in front of a room full of people is scary, and you did it with such poise and such elegance.

"And I am so proud of the incredible young lady that you have become. You keep me grounded, you inspire me every day. You teach me to see the world through fresh eyes. And as busy as I am, being a mum is the most important job to me, and what I am most proud of. So thank you."

Victoria shares four children with husband David Beckham: Brooklyn, 25, Romeo, 22, Cruz, 19, and Harper, who is the only girl.

Meanwhile, Harper wasn't the only person at the Bazaar Awards to fangirl over Posh: Nicola Coughlan also came out to share what Victoria means to her.

Speaking of the ex-Spice Girl, the Bridgerton actress said: "As a little girl, my favourite popstar was my favourite popstar for a number of reasons: she was inherently cool. She had this sort of brunette bob that I immediately got cut into my own hair. And she was so funny. She was so deeply funny, so quick."

Victoria Beckham is reportedly unsure about her son Cruz Beckham's current relationship. Cruz, 19, has been dating Brazilian singer Jackie Apostel, 29, since June, and he's even taken her to meet the family — including at Victoria's Paris fashion show recently. But while Victoria and her husband David are making it a priority to maintain a healthy relationship with their son, they're apparently not the biggest fans of his new romance given Cruz and Jackie's age gap.

"Although Victoria is pleased that Cruz seems happy in his relationship, she does have some concerns about the age gap and whether her youngest son is ready for that kind of commitment," one source the Mirror. "She really likes Jackie, and Jackie seems to get on with all the family but Victoria would be lying if she said that her being 10 years older than Cruz isn't a worry. Cruz is still a teenager whereas Jackie is a fully grown woman who is at a different stage in her life and may want things that Cruz is not quite ready for."

Meanwhile, another source really didn't mince their words. "She and David both think that the whole Mrs Robinson romance will blow over, so they are going to do absolutely nothing apart from keeping them both close and being nice to them."

They continued: "David's view is that everyone needs to stay very calm. Apparently, David thinks that this is probably going to be a great experience for Cruz. He would not be so relaxed if it was Harper in a few years time but that is another story — he's so protective of her. But he thinks it's a boy's dream to be with a gorgeous older woman."

Victoria and David are parents to Brooklyn, 25, Romeo, 22, Cruz, 19, and Harper, 13. Their eldest son Brooklyn married his partner Nicola Peltz Beckham in 2022, and Romeo is dating photographer Gray Sorrenti.

David and Victoria Beckham aren't ones to shy away from poking fun at themselves, and that's one of the things we love about them.

The former footballer and fashion designer are currently promoting an ad they filmed for Uber Eats, which will air during the Super Bowl, i.e. one of the most prestigious (and expensive) ad breaks in the U.S.

As it happens, this ad hilariously pokes fun at the Beckhams' viral moment from their Netflix documentary, during which Victoria claimed she grew up "working class" and David told her to "be honest" until she finally admitted that her dad had a Rolls-Royce when she was young.

In a teaser for the full-length ad, Victoria is sitting on a swishy white sofa, looking as sophisticated as ever in a pair of jeans and a t-shirt from her clothing label which reads, "My dad had a Rolls-Royce." This is the first clue of what's to come.

The former Spice Girl says: "So David and I are gonna be in a little commercial." Then David's voice pipes up in the background: "Be. Honest."

Victoria says: "OK. It's a big commercial," before her husband tells her to say "what it's during."

She ends up saying that the ad will air "during the big baseball game."

David corrects: "Super big baseball game."

This is a joke about the two of them being British and therefore not knowing that the Super Bowl is an American football game, as well as the fact that "football" obviously means something very different to Brits — and to David.

If these two keep bringing the jokes like this, we definitely can't wait to see the finished product.

As well as the fun and silly ads, the Super Bowl promises to be an extra exciting event this year as Taylor Swift's boyfriend Travis Kelce has secured a place in the showdown with his team, the Kansas City Chiefs. Therefore, expect the Swifties to turn out en masse.

We've all fallen in love with Posh and Becks, David and Victoria Beckham, all over again since the highly-anticipated Beckham series dropped on Netflix.

During the four-part documentary, viewers are given details about their lives that have previously been kept private - from the couple's engagement (Victoria's extensive ring collection aside), to what was really going on behind the scenes during sarong-gate. 

We also relive one of the most iconic celebrity weddings of all time - David and Victoria's '90s bash complete with matching purple wedding outfits and thrones. Oh yes.

Footage from the archives has unearthed some moments you might have missed the first time around, including a very fresh-faced Gary Neville making a dirty joke about the Spice Girls and the Bayern Munich football team.  

"We've got some distinguished guests present ladies and gentlemen," Gary began. "David said the Spice Girls requested the Bayern Munich team be present today and David was puzzled at this request and asked why."

He then continued: "He said that the Spice Girls replied that they'd love to meet any men that can stay on top for 90 minutes and still come second."

The camera then cuts to David Beckham, who is seen in stitches.

While the joke may be a *tad* crass, fans are still loving it on social media to this day, taking to X (formerly Twitter) after the documentary aired to show their approval. 

"The Beckham documentary on Netflix is so good. Crying at Gary Neville's best man speech," wrote one fan online.

While another said: "Gary Neville’s best man speech is iconic!!"

And a third wrote: "Gary Neville's Best Man Speech at David Beckham's wedding had me in stitches... Epic."

Clearly, a popular guy. 

It was certainly good to get some light relief from some of the more serious topics discussed within the documentary, which include the pressures of media scrutiny felt by both David and Victoria, as well as the couple candidly opening up about the infamous 2004 affair allegations.

Netflix said of the series: "David Beckham is one of the most known names on the planet, yet few people know who he really is. From his humble working-class beginnings in east London, his drive and determination to win, and the battle to find balance between ambition, love and family, David’s story is one of immense ups and downs.

Since their self-titled docu-series Beckham landed on Netflix last week, David and Victoria Beckham have been making headlines - be it for the iconic style moments that we needed reminding of (matching purple wedding outfits and sarong-gate, to name a few) or the meaning behind their daughter Harper Seven's name. 

In the four part series the couple candidly opened up about the infamous 2004 affair allegations, and how they have weathered difficulties throughout their 24 year marriage. 

David and Victoria met in 1997, while he was a rising star at Manchester United and she was a world-famous Spice Girl. They married in 1999, four months after welcoming their first child Brooklyn. And it seems that over the last two and a half decades, Victoria has amassed quite the ring collection. In fact, she is said to have not one but 15 engagement rings. 

When the couple first got engaged in 1998, David gifted Victoria a marquise-cut diamond on a simple gold band. Three years later, the popstar-turned-designer had swapped the large diamond for an sparkling eternity band instead. Then, between 2003 and 2019 she added a whopping nine rings to her collection, per Elle. 

The styles of jewellery have undoubtedly changed over the years. In the early noughties Victoria opted for much more extravagant styles, including an enormous emerald-cut diamond, a pink oval diamond with a diamond-set platinum band, an even more enormous pear-cut diamond, and a yellow diamond on a pave band between two sparkling eternity bands.  

By 2007, she was showing off an unmissable emerald enveloped by - you guessed it - more diamonds, followed by a new emerald-cut 15 carat diamond, before leaning back into the colour-pops with a huge ruby and later a sapphire. 

But by the end of the decade, Victoria had pared back her statement style noticeably and was wearing a simpler oval-cut diamond on a thin gold band. 

Her return to bolder pieces didn't take long, however, and from 2015 to 2018 she was spotted wearing a large round-cut diamond, an oval moonstone, a sparkling square diamond and a square yellow diamond.

Well - that's quite the collection!

David and Victoria Beckham's Netflix docu-series has had viewers gripped since its release last week. 

The couple really open up in the new four-part series Beckham, discussing everything their first kiss to affair allegations and it has reignited a passion for the formerly titled Posh and Becks. Viewers have enjoyed re-living their interesting fashion choices (read: matching purple outfits) and it has been an eye-opening look into the lives of one of the most famous British couples of our time. 

During the documentary, David and Victoria also discuss the meanings behind their children's names. They famously made headlines when they named their eldest son Brooklyn, and continued to surprise with the monikers bestowed on their two sons Romeo and Cruz, and lastly their daughter, Harper Seven. 

Victoria revealed that Brooklyn's name was inspired by the New York City borough as it's where she was when she called her husband to tell him that she was pregnant in the summer of 1998. 

She explained: "I told David the night before the [England v Argentina World Cup] game. He was so, so happy, we both were and there was never any doubt in my mind that I should tell him. I mean, it was what we wanted and he could not have been happier."

Over the years, David and Victoria have explained that Romeo, 21, was 'just a name we love' and Cruz - a name of Portuguese origin - was a nod to their time living in Spain when David was playing for Real Madrid.

So, what about Harper Seven? 

The couple's only daughter, who turned 12 in July, was in fact named after the author of Victoria's favourite book. 

In a video posted to his Facebook account back in 2011, David said: "Victoria's favourite book is To Kill A Mockingbird. It's a very strong, passionate book and the author was Harper Lee - and that is where Harper came from."

As for the Seven? 

He continued: "The main reason behind Seven was it symbolises spiritual perfection – the seven wonders of the world, the seven colours of the rainbow – and in many cultures it is a lucky number.

"We love the name and we love Harper Seven. We are very happy to have her in our lives and in our family, and it is an amazing time for our family right now."

Fans will also be aware that David's number during his time at Manchester United was - you guessed it - 7.

Victoria Beckham has addressed the affair allegations which surrounded her husband David almost twenty years after the infamous claims made headlines.  

As part of a four-part documentary series on Netflix, David and Victoria have opened up about their life behind the scenes and the show, simply titled Beckham, charts the couple's love story since their first meeting in 1997. 

During one segment, the former Spice Girl candidly spoke about the impact that the infidelity allegations had on her and her marriage for the first time. 

In 2004, David's personal assistant Rebecca Loos claimed that she had an affair with the football player during his time in Spain at Real Madrid. The Beckhams have repeatedly denied the claims, and David said in a statement at the time: "During the past few months I have become accustomed to reading more and more ludicrous stories about my private life. What appeared this morning is just one further example. 

"The simple truth is that I am very happily married. I have a wonderful wife and two very special kids. There is nothing any third party can do to change these facts."

Now, Victoria has shared that it 'was the hardest period' as it 'felt like the world was against us'.  

In the documentary, as reported via The Sun, she explained: "Here's the thing - we were against each other if I'm being completely honest. You know, up until Madrid sometimes it felt like us against everybody else but we were together, we were connected, we had each other.

"But when we were in Spain, it didn't really feel like we had each other either. And that's sad. I can't even begin to tell you how hard it was and how it affected me. It was a nightmare.

"It was an absolute circus - and everyone loves it when the circus comes to town, right? Unless you're in it."

When asked if she 'resented' David at the time, she replied candidly: "If I'm being totally honest, yes I did. It was the most unhappy I have ever been in my entire life."

David also speaks about the allegations, saying: "There was some horrible stories which were difficult to deal with.

"It was the first time that me and Victoria had been put under that kind of pressure in our marriage."

'Feud' rumours have been circulating for quite some time when it comes to Nicola Peltz's relationship with her in-laws - and in particular, Victoria Beckham. 

It has been speculated the 27-year-old actress had allegedly fallen out with the Spice Girls band member over her wedding dress. 

Though Victoria and David Beckham attended their son's lavish wedding in Florida, since the ceremony eagle-eyed fans noted a few cryptic posts on social media. 

In some pictures Brooklyn was not present, along with no mention of him in sentimental family posts - and vice versa. 

However, Nicola has insisted there is "no feud". 

Speaking previously to The Sunday Times, the Bates Motel actress said: "It’s not a feud! I keep seeing everywhere that word, ‘feud, feud, feud!’ I don’t know why they say ‘feud’? I mean, maybe they picked up on something? And now they’re labelling it ‘feud’?"

She went on to add: "No family is perfect. No family."

But this remark has only set tongues wagging further that maybe there is an underlying issue. 

She added: "I think it all started - and I’ve said this before - because I didn’t end up wearing Victoria’s wedding dress. 

"But the real truth is I really, really wanted to wear it and I thought it was so beautiful that Brooklyn’s mom got to make that for me. And I was really excited to wear it. And I didn’t end up wearing it."

She added that Victoria was 'very busy' and days passed without her hearing anything, and that the former Spice Girl eventually called her Nicola's mother to say that she couldn't make the dress in time. 

Though it seemed the famous family and newlyweds had moved on (especially as the couple sat front row at Victoria's first ever Paris Fashion Week show in September this year) Nicola's recent interview may have thrown a spanner in the works.

Nicola's comments are reportedly "infuriating" for Victoria, 48, to hear. 

A source told The Sun: "This all keeps getting rehashed, and is fuelling the flames.

“It’s mildly infuriating to say the least, and for someone who keeps insisting she is not interested in trading on the Beckhams’ name, she brings them up a surprising amount in interviews.

“Victoria won’t be bothered though, as this doesn’t reflect badly on her.”

David Beckham has been flooded with heartfelt messages as he celebrates his 47th birthday.

The former England football captain celebrated his birthday on 2 May, but, of course, his special day has not gone under the radar as wife, Victoria Beckham, took to Instagram to pay tribute to her husband of 23 years.

The Spice Girls singer posted two separate photo reels on her Instagram account; the first a series of pictures of her and her spouse, while the second was sweet photos of David with their children, Harper, Cruz, Romeo and Brooklyn.

The first set of photos capture David and Victoria on the beach, while the second is them soaking up the sun on a boat.

The post was captioned: "I love you so much @davidbeckham you are the most incredible husband anyone could wish for and I feel truly blessed. You are my everything x I love you so so much x happy birthday."

A follow-up post shared on behalf of the Beckham brood, read: "Happy birthday @davidbeckham the best daddy!!! We all love you so much!! So many kisses from us all!!! Kisses @brooklynpeltzbeckham @romeobeckham @cruzbeckham #HarperSeven."

Victoria went one step further and also posted a collection of images on her Instagram Story, which last on the photo-sharing site for 24 hours.

One image sees the footballing ace feeding a pig with a carrot in his mouth, followed by another snap of David in a pair of swimming shorts on holiday showing off his toned abs on the beach.

Victoria captioned the final picture: "Not bad for 47! Lucky me!"

The Instagram photos have racked up over 816,000 likes combined, as well as hundreds of comments from friends, family and fans.

David's family also paid tribute to their dad on his special day.

Romeo shared a photo of him and his father on his photo-sharing site, alongside the caption: "HAPPY BIRTHDAY DAD, I love you so much thank you for everything, have the best day."

While Cruz uploaded a picture of David snowboarding, before taking a tumble in the snow, on his Instagram account.

"Happy birthday @davidbeckham I love you have a amazing dayyyy", he wrote, although a separate photo of David with a giant birthday cake in front of him was posted on Cruz's Instagram Story.

However, Brooklyn has remained quiet on social media so far.

Spice Girls are rumoured to reunite this year, and headline Glastonbury in 2023.

The iconic 90s girl group are in talks to embark on a world tour next year, which is tipped to end with a swan song show being Glastonbury's Pyramid Stage, which takes place in June at Worthy Farm in Somerset.

Mel B, Mel C, Emma Bunton, Geri Horner and Victoria Beckham have not performed as a five piece band for almost a decade, but it is said Posh Spice is on board the Glastonbury gig, which would bring the fivesome together for the first time.

A source told The Sun: "There have been bumps in the road, particularly where Geri is concerned, but the plan is still that the girls’ world tour will go ahead next year.

"The idea is that it will kick off in 2023, and finish at Glastonbury.

"Victoria has previously said that she would perform with them at the festival. So that would be the perfect way to round off the tour."

The Wannabe hitmakers were tipped to perform at the Queen's Platinum Jubilee later this summer, but the plans have been scrapped because of "logistics".

The insider continued: "You’re going to need to ask Geri about that one.

"The Spice Girls will definitely not be performing at the Queen’s Jubilee, though that is not just down to Geri, as Mel hinted initially.

"They are all working on different projects, and when they sat down to look at the logistics they decided there was not enough time to make it work. They just would have not been able to squeeze in the rehearsal time they needed for the concert.

“However, that isn’t to say that everybody was happy with that outcome. Mel B and Emma, in particular, seemed very disappointed to be saying no. It would have been a real honour, and that was not lost on them."

Victoria and David Beckham have set up an emergency appeal to help refugees fleeing Ukraine amidst Russia's invasion.

The former England football captain, who is a longstanding Global Goodwill Ambassador for UNICEF, has set up the appeal through his 7 Fund with the charity organisation, which the couple have both donated to to help those in need at this heartbreaking time.

The Spice Girls band member and her husband both shared a video of David, 46, on their separate Instagram accounts, urging people to help those seeking refuge and donate as the war wages on.

In the clip, David said: "Like you, I have watched the situation in Ukraine unfold with horror and disbelief. Mothers forced to flee with their children, families torn apart, children pulled from their beds to become refugees overnight.

"With my family safe around me, I felt the helplessness we all share when faced with scenes of such despair.

"As a longtime Global Goodwill Ambassador, I know how experienced UNICEF is at deploying aid in conflict situations.

"They have people on the frontlines as refugees pour over borders to be given shelter in neighbouring countries.

"That's why this International Women's Day I'm setting up an emergency appeal through my 7 Fund for UNICEF to help provide immediate aid.

"Victoria and I have made a donation on behalf of our family to kickstart the appeal. We would be so grateful if you could join us to help UNICEF support these innocent children. Please give what you can today."

UNICEF commented on David's post, and wrote: "The needs of children in #Ukraine are growing by the minute. Thank you David Beckham, and everyone helping raise urgent funds for families caught up in conflict."

Cast your mind back to the 1997 Spice World: The Movie when Victoria Beckham, Geri Horner - formerly Halliwell - Mel B, Mel C and Emma Bunton, zipped around London on the double decker London bus, which was emblazoned with the Union Jack on the front, only to be intercepted by aliens. Now it is your turn - maybe without the aliens.

Airbnb hosts, who are named IslandHarbour on the homestays and rentals booking site, can provide you with a very similar experience, as the owners are renting out their double decker Spice Bus for you to stay in on the Isle of Wight.

Unlike Posh Spice, Sporty Spice, Ginger Spice, Baby Spice and Scary Spice, this Spice Bus is stationary, but it boasts impressive views overlooking the Island Harbour Marina on the island off the south coast of England.

International Women's Day falls on 8 March this year, but The Spice Girls band member, Mel C, is proud the band has been encouraging empowerment for decades.

Mel C - who is most commonly known as Sporty Spice, although her full name is Melanie Chisholm - joined the award-winning group in 1994 alongside Mel B, Victoria Beckham, Emma Bunton and Geri Horner, who was formerly Halliwell, and for decades they have been championing "girl power".

Though the 48-year-old singer is blown away by their musical success, what appears to have touched her most is hearing stories about how the iconic girl group have empowered and encouraged people worldwide.

Speaking on Annie MacManus' podcast, Changes, ahead of IWD, she said: "We came out shouting about girl power and quickly realised we had a huge following in the LGBT+ community too. That has followed all of us. And it has just been such a wonderful opportunity.

"I can’t tell you how many stories I have heard about how The Spice Girls gave them the strength and courage to be who they truly wanted to be."

Mel C also resonates with the band's slogan, and while she has encouraged fans and listeners to believe in themselves and their abilities, to aim high and be successful, she also urges people to take time out so not to burn out.

Sharing her top tips to feel empowered ahead of International Women's Day, she said: "We are always trying to better ourselves, it is quite a female thing. You really are good enough. Look at your achievements. You have done the most incredible things.

"It is good to be ambitious but give yourself a break and a little pat on the back, because we have done amazing things."

But Mel C never realised until later years how powerful The Spice Girls' message was, and the positive impact they had on people worldwide.

She said: "I feel goosebumps even now. If we are all in a room, there is a spark. We were so single-minded. The biggest thing about The Spice Girls is we are so different. It spoke to so many people.

"I always refer back to being on stage in 2019 and get emotional. It was the moment I began to understand and accept it — we have affected a generation of people."

The Spice Girls are tipped to reunite for the first time as a five-piece band in 10 years this summer, as they are rumoured to be performing at the Queen's Platinum Jubilee celebrations in June this year, although they have yet to confirm the gig.

"Victoria signing the confirmation papers as a director for another year shows she’s still an active member of The Spice Girls."

All eyes were on Posh as she preened and posed for photographers outside the new Armani store in New York, and boy did she make an entrance. But, against the odds, the extraordinairy Mrs Beckham has crafted a fashion empire to rival some of the biggest designer names in the business, creating gorgeous dresses and sharp accessories that - hold the front page real women actually want to wear.

Need any further proof of just how covetable VB s creations are? Just ask Beyonce, Cameron Diaz, Kim Sears, Gwyneth Paltrow, or any of the other major celebrities the designer has dressed since launching her label in 2008. Beyonce and Kim Kardashian were two of the brand s early adopters, becoming fans of Victoria s now-famous early sucky sucky jersey day dress designs. Stitch 'em up...

Stitch ‘em up: The corset is returning to form for AW16, with designers from Prada to Victoria Beckham offering new ways to wear the most storied of fashion undergarments as outerwear.

But before you panic, dismissing the ‘uncomfortable’ and ‘archaic’ trend before it’s even taken off, listen to this; its role in your new season wardrobe is not to give you hyper-womanly proportions. Instead, the corset 2.0 is a belt-like tool, working to softly pull together your favourite AW16 layers in one, edgy new season twist. Because breathing is important to us, you see.

From celebrities like Kim Kardashian-West, below, to street style stars like supermodel Liu Wen, the trend is already being put into practice IRL. The first essential wardrobe injection of the new season, its got the transformative powers of any good It accessory – offering that instant 'hit refresh' feeling to sundresses, knitwear and classic white shirts alike.

On the AW16 catwalks, Prada’s corsets took a nautical twist, made in soft white cotton and laced up half-heartedly like a (deliberately) scruffy kid’s trainers. Ellery’s, meanwhile, were almost completely open, loosely pulling together layers of coats, shirts, dresses and stoles in a clever styling trick.

‘I deconstructed garments that used to be important in a woman’s wardrobe around the turn of the 19th century and reapplied them to modern silhouettes,’ Ellery designer Kym Ellery tells Marie Claire Runway of her new-found fascination with stitched stays. ‘It started with corsets, which I unravelled and undid, keeping the beauty of the original workmanship but letting the modern wearer breathe easier.’

Forgetting the Marie Antoinettes and the it’s Britney b*tch incarnations of yesteryear, the new ‘undone’ corset feels so much cooler than any that came before. It’s been let loose, it’s not so highly strung - and it’s a key indicator of the designers’ wider obsession with new-age femininity.

It’s nice to think that even our favourite Hollywood golden couples had to sit through an ultra-cringe, nerve-wracking first date together, isn’t it? That Victoria Beckham just couldn’t choose what to wear when she first met David, or that Beyoncé made Jay Z beg for two years before agreeing to go out with him.

While they’d been to hundreds of events in the past, the first time they were seen together after Kim divorced Kris Humphries was at a go-kart track, after Kanye’s Paris Fashion Week show in March 2012. A few week’s later, Kim posted on twitter that she was a ‘proud girlfriend’ and Kanye released a new song, dedicated to her, called ‘Perfect bitch’. Sweet, ay?

Today, Kim shared a video of the couple's first private date together - making sweet music at New York's FAO Schwarz. 'This video was from when Kanye and I went to FAO Schwarz and played piano together,' she wrote.

Blake Lively and Ryan Reynolds Although they met filming Green Lantern together in 2006, Blake and Ryan’s first date was actually a bit of a disaster – because they were actually on a double date with other people. ‘About a year after Green Lantern had come and gone and we were both single we went on a double date – she was on a date with another guy and I was on a date with another girl,’ Ryan explained to Entertainment Weekly. ‘It was like the most awkward date for the respective parties because we were just like fireworks coming across.’

Beyoncé and Jay Z Exactly when Queen Bey and Jay Z started dating is a little hazy – friends first, they spent two years talking on the phone before making things official around 2001. ‘We were just beginning to try to date each other,’ Jay Z says of the time. ‘Well, you know, you've got to try first. You got to dazzle ... wine and dine. She's a charming Southern girl, you know, she's not impressed ... But I would have definitely had to be this cool.’

But you can forget the throwback silhouette of the 80s, the power suit 2.0 is sharper, cleaner and comes in bolder, brighter fabrications than its stuffy predecessors.

On both the SS16 and AW16 runways (yep, the trend is carrying through to autumn, too, folks) designers from Roberto Cavalli to Givenchy gave us dozens of options to stride into our next soiree in – from embellished, to velvet, to full-on floral incarnations.

Georgia May-Jagger’s fuchsia Gucci number is cooler than any summer party dress we’ve seen, while Alexa’s worked not one, but two different statement suits in the last few weeks alone. The brave (read Olivia Palermo and Kristin Stewart) are going white hot, committing themselves to not spill anything down their minimalistic looks, while others, like Charlize Theron are playing the androgyny card in classic mannish tuxedos.

The trend also naturally calls for one of our favourite ever free styling tricks, shoulder robe-ing and, as Vanessa Paradis proves in the gallery above, it looks hotter than ever when worked with matching trousers.

The indisputable queen of the power suit, however is queen Bey herself. Beyonce teams her Givenchy tux with mega heels and an oversized hat for her Formation-fashion take on the trend.

Finally, finally.

Model, TV presenter and all-round style queen, Alexa Chung has announced that she is launching her own namesake fashion brand.

Named as the creative director of the new ‘ALEXACHUNG’ label, Alexa is promising to launch her new ready-to-wear line in May 2017. The collection will include daywear, eveningwear, shoes, jewellery and denim, all designed by the hand of Chung. So basically she’s about to give us a wardrobe’s-worth of dreamy style solutions, then?

Of course, Alexa’s dipped her toe into the design world a few times before, collaborating with the likes of Marks and Spencer, Madewell, Supergra and AG Jeans on exclusive capsule collections. But this new venture will be all her and she’s already got some major stockists (think Selfridges, Galeries Lafayette and Matchesfashion.com) on board to back her up.

'Surprise! I’m starting my own fashion label,' Alexa said in an official statement also naming Haider Ackermann's former head of atelier, Edwin Bondson, as her new managing director. 'After many seasons of inspiring and eye opening collaborations with some of my favourite brands, I have decided that now is the perfect time to go it alone and establish my very own fashion line.'

'I have been fortunate enough to have found a wonderful team from various corners of the fashion industry and beyond to help realise my vision and make this lifelong dream a reality. We hope to bring you wearable, cool clothing you can live in and love in, whilst exploring the sartorial relationship between masculinity and femininity, something that has been a cornerstone of my personal style since I was old enough to dress myself.'

Already a force to be reckoned with in fashion, beauty and tech worlds (she recently launched community fashion app Villoid), the announcement of this next move is already causing critics to draw comparisons between Alexa and Victoria Beckham, or the Olsen twins, who all successfully crossed that line from ‘celebrity with a fashion line’ to fully fledged designer.

'I would like to thank everyone who has encouraged and supported me on the journey thus far.' Alexa added. 'With this first collection, I aim not only to delight your eyeballs but to furnish your wardrobe with all of your soon-to-be favourite pieces.'

As everything she touches turns to pure fashion gold, we think it's safe to tip this one as a hit before we've even seen it.
