So it won't come as a surprise to a single Swiftie that she's been dropping easter eggs for this album for ages.

Whether deliberate or not, the use of the word "boyfriend" here is a clear indication that the marriage rumours are unfounded. Incidentally, Taylor is no stranger to this kind of gossip. In the short clip, Travis can be seen helping Taylor (who's wearing a grey coat) into the car, before climbing in after her.

Park City is an upscale mountain destination, and it's likely that the lovebirds were on a skiing holiday there.

It's well known that Travis and his older brother Jason love to ski, as the two have previously spoken about one particularly unfortunate incident on their podcast, New Heights.

A while back, they told the story of poor Kylie Kelce (Jason's wife) and her first time skiing, when she was forced to go down a really steep slope and it took her 45 minutes to do so — during which time Travis and the others had had time to drink two beers at a mountain bar.

For context, Jason explained: "We had been skiing growing up. Not a lot, but because we ice skated, we kind of knew how to navigate."

We don't know for sure whether Travis — or Taylor — were skiing on this latest trip, but it's definitely not a stretch to assume they were.

According to a representative, Travis' team have since called in lawyers to deal with the situation, saying: "We have engaged our legal team to initiate proceedings against the individuals or entities responsible for the unlawful and injurious forgery of documents."

Since the fake documents went viral, a podcast interview with Jack Ketosyan confirming how PR relationships work has since piqued interest.

Back in 2019, Jack appeared on Australian podcast The Quicky and stated that the 'main clue' that a celebrity couple is in a 'showmance' is if one high-profile individual is spotted on dates with someone less famous. He added that these fake romances are usually constructed as a distraction, or to build publicity around an upcoming project, claiming: "It's to be able to sell the hype of it – whether a concert, album… or getting people to go to see the movie, it's all about the hype at the moment."

Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce have been front and centre in 2024, making headline news on the regular, from Swift’s appearance at the Super Bowl and Kelce’s presence on her tour, to their double dates with Bradley Cooper and Gigi Hadid. 

And with Swift’s sell-out Eras tour resuming in Europe, this only looks set to continue, with the 34-year-old adding some of her new hits from The Tortured Poets Department to her setlist - some believed to be inspired by her Kansas City Chiefs boyfriend.

With videos circulating on social media of Kelce cheering her on from the audience, and reports that the couple are coordinating their schedules to ensure that they don’t “spend too much time apart”, things appear to be getting serious.

And following a source telling Entertainment Tonight that the couple was close to an engagement, Kelce has found himself the subject of online proposal rumours.

“Taylor and Travis are doing amazing, and their loved ones see an engagement coming sooner than later,” the source told the publication. “They make a great match, and there’s no question about that.”

Following the online frenzy that ensued, multiple sources have spoken out to shut down the rumours, explaining that Kelce “cares very deeply” about Swift, but that “he’s just not there yet.”

“Travis has no plans on proposing to Taylor anytime soon,” one source reported to Us Weekly. “It’s not even on his radar. Marriage is something he takes very seriously and not something he would ever just jump into without giving it some careful consideration.”

Kelce’s mum, Donna, has also commented on the speculation, asked about the potential of a proposal by CNN.

"It's totally up to them.” she replied. “Them being happy. We don't know anything for right now. I'm sure he would call me up and tell me, and I haven't heard anything yet. 

“That's all you want for your children is happiness,” she added. “Nothing else matters."

The long-awaited album (and its 31 new songs) have proven so popular that the 34-year-old singer even updated her worldwide Eras tour to include seven of her new hits.

Included in the new track selection was 'So High School', a song rumoured to be about her boyfriend, NFL player Travis Kelce. And in a rare move this weekend, Kelce appeared to confirm the rumours. 

While hosting his Kelce Jam music festival in Kansas City on Saturday, Kelce opened up about his music taste, revealing the track in question to be his favourite from his girlfriend's new album.

"I might be a little biased to 'So High School'", he admitted, seemingly adding weight to the rumours.

Swifties are also convinced that the 34-year-old Kansas City Chiefs tight end inspired the track 'The Alchemy'.

"Shirts off, and your friends lift you up, over their heads" read the lyrics, thought to be a reference to Kelce and the Kansas City Chiefs. "They said there was no chance trying to be the greatest in the league. Where's the trophy? He just comes running over to me."

"So when I touch down, call the amateurs and cut 'em from the team," the chorus continues. "Baby I'm the one to be. 'Cause the sign on your heart said it's still reserved for me. Honestly, who are we to fight the alchemy?"

Perhaps a second favourite for Kelce?

If there's one place where power couples assert said power, it's the Met Gala red carpet.

Sadly, Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce — power couple of power couples — will reportedly not be sighted at the prestigious annual event this May, but don't worry, they have a good excuse.

TMZ reported earlier this month that the American football player and superstar singer were of course invited to the fashion-centred event, but had RSVP'd "no."

Now, the Daily Mail has explained the reason for Taylor and Travis' no-show, and it's very simply that it falls right in the middle of the popstar's Eras Tour schedule.

The Met Gala takes place in New York City on 6 May, with Taylor's first show post-break scheduled for 9 May in Paris, France. While it would be technically possible for her to attend the former event and still perform the latter, it's understandable that she wouldn't want to lose her concert prep time (and rest) to travelling and getting glammed up in a really involved way for the red-carpet event.

Taylor has attended a bunch of Met Galas in the past, in 2008, 2010, 2011, 2013, 2014, and 2016, while Travis has yet to walk the famous steps.

The lovebirds began dating sometime last summer, and while they've been spotted together a bunch of times in public — on date nights and at Travis' football games, e.g. — they have yet to walk a red carpet together.

One thing's for sure: when they do, it will be epic.

On another note, Taylor's career is at an all-time high right now, with her new album The Tortured Poets Department breaking streaming records left and right.

Over on Instagram, the popstar thanked fans for making all this happen.

"My mind is blown. I’m completely floored by the love you’ve shown this album," Taylor wrote. "2.6 million ARE YOU ACTUALLY SERIOUS?? Thank you for listening, streaming, and welcoming Tortured Poets into your life. Feeling completely overwhelmed. I was already so fired up to get back to the tour but you doing THIS?? May 9th can’t come soon enough"

Taylor Swift has been all anyone can talk about this week, dropping her secret double album, The Tortured Poets Department, on Friday. And unsurprisingly, it is already breaking records. 

It wasn't the 31 brand new Taylor Swift tracks or the Easter eggs and hidden references that made news this week, or even her former teachers opening up about the young singer-songwriter. 

Instead, it was Swift's IRL friendships that made headlines, as a new A-list foursome was revealed - Gigi Hadid, Bradley Cooper, Travis Kelce, and Swift herself. 

Yes, really, longtime friends Gigi and Taylor have reportedly been going on double dates with their boyfriends, Bradley and Travis, and according to reports, even took a recent couples' vacation together.

The news was broken this week by Travis Kelce's mum Donna, according to People, who told the audience at the QVC summit in Las Vegas that the two couples had just got back from being on holiday together. Opening up about the vacation, the 71-year-old revealed that Travis had sent her photographs from the beach of his holiday in Carmel-by-the-sea, with Taylor, Gigi and Bradley.

Cooper was also in attendance at the QVC conference, serving up his famous Philly cheesesteaks from his food truck, and as Donna Kelce queued up to get one, she told the Hollywood actor: "Travis told me you were going to be there."

This foursome is of course unsurprising, with Taylor and Gigi known to have been close friends for years. 

In fact, Hadid was one of the first people to publicly comment on Taylor and Travis' romance, ending all negative speculation by posting: "We are all over the moon for our girl. Period."

Swift has also opened up about her friendship with Hadid in the past, explaining in a 2017 Harper's Bazaar profile: "The time I do have off, it's not even enough to give everyone I love attention. I'm good with [the friends] I've got. As a friend, Gigi is one of the first people I go to for advice. She has this incredible ability to see all sides of a situation and simplify it for you, to see the complexity of people."

Taylor and Travis have been taking "a break from the buzz of their careers" and spending time just as the two of them, sources explained via Us Weekly, with reports that they are "nesting" at Swift's Los Angeles home.

"They can finally rest," the source reported. "And [they] intend on spending quality time together and with friends and family. In fact, going forwards, the couple is reportedly coordinating their schedules to ensure that "they can see each other as much as possible" and don't "spend too much time apart".

It is not known when we will next see a public appearance from the A-list couple, but fans are speculating that it could be the 2024 Met Gala in New York next month.

The annual Costume Institute Benefit falls on May 6, and will be held at the Metropolitan Museum of Art, hosted this year by Zendaya, Jennifer Lopez, Bad Bunny and Chris Hemsworth. Also hosting the event will of course be Met trustee and Vogue Editor-In-Chief Anna Wintour, alongside two honorary chairs - Loewe creative director Jonathan Anderson and TikTok CEO Shou Zi Chew.

A-listers from far and wide are expected to flock to the Metropolitan Museum for the hottest night in the fashion calendar, and among them is predicted to be Swift, and potentially with her A-list boyfriend in-tow.

Both Swift and Kelce are reported to have space in their busy schedules on the night of the Met Gala, with the 'Blank Space' singer on a break before her Eras Tour resumes in Paris three days later, and Kelce not expected at NFL training camp until later in the summer.

Plus given their mini break from the spotlight, a joint Met Gala appearance would be the perfect return to the limelight.

Only time will tell whether the couple will attend.

Kelce, 34, and his brother Jason, 36, were interviewing Arnold Schwarzenegger in the most recent episode, and as the trio talked about the actor's most iconic roles, Kelce revealed jokily that one had informed his baby name preferences.

Opening up about one of Arnold Schwarzenegger's most famous roles - Conan, in 1982's Conan the Barbarian, Kelce joked: "I might name my first kid Conan. I might."
