"There could be multiple getaways, and they all will be extremely private, with just Taylor and her close girlfriends," sources reported to Us Weekly, listing New York, Nashville and the Bahamas as the likely destinations.

This is not the first report around Swift's hen party, with sources telling The Sun last year that Gigi Hadid and Selena Gomez were organising at least three or four girls’ trips or bachelorette-style getaways" to mark the occasion.

"The goal is to have fun, spend weekends together, and enjoy the process while also working on the planning in beautiful locations where they can relax, celebrate, and bond," the source reported.

"The bridesmaids have been talking for the past two weeks, several times a week, whether on the phone, through texts, FaceTime, or Zoom. Their commitment is incredibly solid, and the excitement is massive. It’s a truly fun experience for everyone already involved."

Specifically, there are rumours out there concerning the songs "How Does It Feel to Be Forgotten," "You Said You Were Sorry," and "Don't Take It Personally." Some people believe the first two could be about Justin, while the third could be about Hailey.

The lyrics to "How Does It Feel to Be Forgotten" go as follows (via Genius):

But more specifically, as reported by BuzzFeed, there's a theory that the "friends" element could point to Justin in particular, as he's rumoured to have tried to be friendly with Selena in 2024, but she allegedly wasn't having it.

The insider told Daily Mail: "She realises that she cannot go up against a Republican backed nation — many of whom are loyal customers of her Rare Beauty brand. She does not wish to alienate. She is going to stay out of politics and in her own lane after that drama."

The same source continued: "Selena thought that she was being authentic and helpful with her video but in retrospect, she realises that it could have been more powerful without the tears. The tears showed weakness and that is not what she intended. She is very passionate and after seeing critics calling for her to help by donating some of her millions to enrich the lives of immigrants in their home countries, she realised that she could never win."

According to the insider, the Only Murders In The Building star wanted 'people to see that most Americans are descended from immigrants' as 'many people are citizens because their ancestors chose to come here whether documented or not.'

In Selena's video, posted to her Instagram Stories, she said: "All my people are getting attacked, the children. I don’t understand. I’m so sorry, I wish I could do something but I can’t. I don’t know what to do. I’ll try everything, I promise."

The issue of immigration is very close to Selena's heart, as she is descended from Mexican immigrants. In a 2019 essay for TIME, the star wrote: "In the 1970s, my aunt crossed the border from Mexico to the United States hidden in the back of a truck. My grandparents followed, and my father was born in Texas soon after. In 1992, I was born a U.S. citizen thanks to their bravery and sacrifice."

Commenters on Justin's post seemed pretty convinced that he had chosen this song in reference to Selena. "Of course he was gonna post something now," wrote one person.

"But why that song," asked someone else.

Still, others thought this was just what it looks like: a sweet picture of a happy couple. "YOU GUYS ARE TOO CUTE," wrote one fan, while another added: "we love love"

And based on 2018 novel Écoute by Boris Razon, the Jacques Audiard film has been well received - earning an 11-minute standing ovation at Cannes Film Festival, and even tipped for the 2025 Oscars.

This, however, sparked controversy this week, as Mexican actor Eugenio Derbez criticised her performance - claiming that due to Gomez's limited Spanish, he didn't believe her lines.

"Selena is indefensible," the 63-year-old said of the 2024 film, during his recent appearance on the 'Hablando de Cine' podcast.

"I [watched Emilia Pérez] with people, and every time she had a scene, we looked at each other to say to each other, ‘Wow, what is this?’ I feel like they don’t speak Spanish.

"I liked the film, aside from the Selena [scenes] that jump at you, because it has salvageable things,” Derbez continued, going on to talk about Jacques Audiard.

"But I told myself, ‘How weird that the director doesn’t speak English or Spanish and the movie is in Spanish and English, and it takes place in Mexico and you don’t understand the culture.’ It’s like if I made a film in Russian without knowing the culture or speaking Russian and talk in French.”

Derbez's comments unsurprisingly went viral, with Selena Gomez even speaking out to publicly respond.

"I understand where you are coming from," Gomez stated. "I’m sorry I did the best I could with the time I was given. Doesn’t take away from how much work and heart I put into this movie."

During the interview, Benny opened up about his relationship with the Only Murders In The Building star, saying: "I'm a real morning person. It's my favourite time to spend with Sel, because we both wake up really early. It's like our moment before the rest of the world wakes up. I have a true best friend that I get to do everything in the world with, and every day is the best day of my life."

In an interview with Time magazine published in May, Selena said: "He has the strength in him that none of that noise fazes him. It's really impressive, and I just cherish every moment with him. I don't know what the future holds, but I do know that he's not going anywhere any time soon."

The Only Murders in the Building actress attended the premiere of her film Emilia Pérez on 29 October, and in photos from the event, she could be seen with a hand on her stomach. Some TikTok users shared these photos and implied that Selena was posing in that way because she was trying to hide her body, but unfortunately the star ended up seeing this and got really upset about it.

"This makes me sick," she wrote (via ELLE). "I have SEBO in my small intestine. It flares up. I don’t care that I don’t look like a stick figure. I don’t have that body. End of story. No I am NOT a victim. I’m just human."

Selena was referring to SIBO, which stands for small intestinal bacterial overgrowth, and whose symptoms include digestive issues such as stomach pain, bloating, indigestion and constipation, according to WebMD.

But health concerns or not, Selena has always made it clear that it's not okay to comment on the way her body looks.

Responding to some body shamers in January 2023, Selena said on Instagram Live: "I'm a little bit big right now because I enjoyed myself during the holidays."

And in an Instagram Story from January 2024, Selena reflected on a photo of herself from 2013, writing: "Today I realized I will never look like this again...."

She added next to a more recent photo: "I’m not perfect, but I am proud to be who I am… Sometimes I forget it’s ok to be me."

And in a TikTok Story from April 2022, Selena joked: "So I've been trying to stay skinny, but I went to Jack in the Box and I got four tacos, three egg rolls, onion rings and a spicy chicken sandwich.

Selena Gomez has finally addressed what she was whispering to Taylor Swift during that viral Golden Globes moment - and no, she wasn't talking about Timothée Chalamet and Kylie Jenner.

The 81st Golden Globes certainly delivered. As well as red-carpet glamour in abundance, there were plenty of meme-worthy moments, from Timothée and Kylie's PDA to a heartfelt Mamma Mia! reunion, and Jennifer Lawrence mouthing that she'll leave if she doesn't win, right before her pal Emma Stone scooped the prize for Best Actress. 

But perhaps the most intriguing was the animated exchange between Selena Gomez and her celebrity BFF Taylor Swift. Selena was seen sharing some news with Taylor and actor and wife of Miles Teller, Keleigh Sperry, during an ad break at the awards. The Blank Space singer is visibly shocked, sending social media into a frenzy of theorizing over what Selena said to Taylor. 

Many fans speculated that the conversation was about Timothée Chalamet and Kylie Jenner, who were sitting doing some intensive eye-gazing just a few tables away. Cue various iterations of a rumour that Selena asked Timothée for a picture and Kylie responded with a flat no. Awkward.

Over on social, fans praised Selena for her 'realness' with one writing on X: "Selena so real. Whenever something happens to me, I'm running straight to my girls."

But Selena has now set the record straight, explaining that the conversation had nothing to do with the couple. On Instagram after the event, Selena commented on a headline that suggested she was talking about the couple, writing: "Noooooo I told Taylor about two of my friends who hooked up. Not that that’s anyone's business."

There have long been rumours about a feud between Selena and best friends Hailey Bieber and Kylie, but both parties have since insisted that they've buried the hatchet, with Selena insisting on social media that she's a 'fan of Kylie'.

Meanwhile, Timothée has also shut down the rumours that there is any drama between him and Selena. Speaking with TMZ while out and about in Beverley Hills this week, he vaguely addressed the rumours. When questioned if he and Selena are cool, the Wonka actor replied: "Of course." 

Then when asked if there's any truth to Kylie 'being a mean girl and snubbing Selena', he replied: "No."

The Golden Globes kicked off the 2024 awards season last night, with the likes of Lily Gladstone and Emma Stone walking away with the prestigious gold trophy. While the Golden Globes red carpet was a lesson in Hollywood glamour - looking at you, Natalie Portman - what happened inside The Beverly Hilton has piqued viewers interest much more. 

From Jennifer Lawrence telling the camera she'll leave if she doesn't win, to Kylie Jenner and Timothée Chalamet's eye-gazing and PDA, social media has been awash with clips from the ceremony. However, it is one moment between Selena Gomez and her celebrity BFF Taylor Swift that has had everyone talking. 

In a video circulating online, Selena can be seen heading over to Taylor's table and the pair begin an animated conversation, with Taylor appearing shocked by whatever Selena has told her. Of course, the internet went into overdrive trying to decipher what the pair were gossiping about, with the most popular theory involving Kylie Jenner and Timothée Chalamet. Eagle-eyed netizens claimed Selena was sharing that Kylie had refused to let her take a picture with the Wonka actor.

However, lip reader Jeremy Freeman has spoken to The Mirror to confirm what he believes the pair were discussing in the clip. Referring to one moment in the video, he told the publication that after Selena whispered in Taylor's ear, the Blank Space singer said: "No f***ing way dude, you’ll have a job getting that removed you know."

He adds that he interpreted Selena's reply to be: "Possibly, but I'm in love with it, which is a reference I'm not gonna quit, I'm in love."

Later, Freeman claims that Selena says to Taylor: "Do you know what they said/did to me?" 

He believes that Taylor replies: "S**t, what the..." before adding: "Oh my God, love you."

Selena continues: "Brought them back together... I tried, I couldn't, it'll upset em."

Some X users enjoyed the fact that Selena and Taylor were debriefing at the show, with one writing: "Selena so real. Whenever something happens to me i’m running straight to my girls."

Despite the fact that we don't actually know what Selena and Taylor were talking about, and that the lip reading interpretations are fairly puzzling out of context of that conversation, in the past similar clips have gained traction online - last year, it was Ben Affleck and Jennifer Lopez's Grammys interaction.

There's been a sharp incline in interest surrounding Benny Blanco in recent months. The American music producer is a well known name in the industry, but since he started dating Selena Gomez her fans have been desperate to find out more about him. And just this week, the pair were pictured looking very cosy court-side at a Lakers vs Heat game in Los Angeles, US.

The couple have reportedly been dating for around six months, but have only recently gone public with their romance. It looks like things are getting pretty serious though, with a source telling Entertainment Tonight that Selena feels 'safe and secure' with Benny, as he's 'not in it for the attention or fame'. 

They told the outlet in December: "She feels so safe and secure with him, so she felt like it was a good time to share how happy she is with her fans. Benny is a great communicator, is honest and open with Selena, and listens to her. He’s respectful, isn’t a player, and not in it for the attention or fame. He doesn’t care about any of that, and Selena sees that and really trusts him."

The Rare Beauty founder confirmed her new relationship on Instagram in December 2023 with a picture of the pair together, later posting in the comments section to a fan: "He is my absolute everything in my heart."

It looks like these two could be big news (double-date pics with Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce pending), but what else do we know about Benny Blanco?

Benny Blanco is an American music producer who has worked with some of the biggest names in the industry. Not only does he have a long-standing relationship with Selena, but he's also worked with Justin Bieber, as well as BTS, Halsey, and Addison Rae. He famously said about Selena's ex during an interview on the Zach Sang Show: "Justin's not one of those cookie-cutter pop artists. Like you know, they're like, 'This is my new single and here's my makeup line.'" 

These comments led many to believe he was throwing shade at Selena due to her recently launching make-up line Rare Beauty, but neither she nor Benny have addressed the comments since. So perhaps it was just a throw-away comment (or there was a big apology!)

How long have Benny Blanco and Selina Gomez been dating?

Benny and Selena Gomez go way back musically, with their professional relationship starting around eight years ago. Benny produced two of her 2015 Revival songs - Same Old Love and Kill ’Em With Kindness - as well as her 2017 collaboration with Cashmere Cat, Trust Nobody. They've only been dating since September, but Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce's relationship has been dominating headlines, social media feeds and even NFL commentary for the last six weeks. While fans are convinced that Taylor predicted their romance in her old lyrics and friends of the pair are saying that they're already 'in love', it seems that the intense speculation has taken its toll on Travis' family, with his brother Jason warning that there are 'some alarms' when it comes to their fledgling relationship. 

According to a new report by Page Six, Taylor's BFF Selena Gomez also has 'concerns' about how quickly the pair are moving. The publication claims that the Only Murders In The Building star - who has been best friends with Taylor for several years - believes that the public nature of the new relationship is out of character for the Bad Blood singer.

A source told the outlet: "Selena thinks Taylor going to games and gallivanting through New York immediately after just meeting Travis is something that is very unlike her. Historically, Taylor’s always been super private about everything, and now with this [relationship], she’s so open about it that it’s just very odd for Selena."

Taylor has been uncharacteristically public about their relationship, joining his friends and family in a private box to cheer for Travis during his NFL games, and the pair have been spotted enjoying dates in both New York and Kansas City. Travis' teammate Mecole Hardman Jr also shared a couples photo with himself and his girlfriend Chariah Gordon with Taylor and Travis after a recent win against the Los Angeles Chargers.

Selena Gomez has spent years advocating for mental health awareness, be it through her work projects or through sharing her own experiences and challenges in interviews and on social media. 

The singer was the Executive Producer on Netflix's 13 Reasons Why in 2017 and was credited with bringing the story - based on the book by Jay Asher - to the streaming platform after explaining that it felt 'important' to her. In an interview with Allure she said: "Whether uncomfortable or not, viewed as inappropriate or not, it has created conversation." 

Selena also released a documentary on Apple TV+ in 2022 titled My Mind & Me which shared her own experience with mental health. It followed her for over six years, documenting her personal challenges, and while she has admitted she will not watch it again it was praised for its transparency and honesty. 

Now the Only Murders In The Building star and Rare Beauty founder has opened up about why she is so candid when it comes to sharing these stories with the world. 

Last year, Selena launched Wondermind - a mental health platform - with her mum, Mandy Teefay, and in a new interview explained why it's such an important cause to her. 

She said: "When I decided to be open about my mental health, people began to reach out and share their stories. Listening and connecting was the biggest gift because you feel less alone.

"I am not going to pretend I have it all figured out, and I think it’s always going to be a work in progress. You have to learn to make the choices that are best for you."

Selena continued: "I don't love giving advice because I don’t have all of the answers. I’d say, though, find a friend or a family member you feel comfortable talking with and open up about what you are feeling.

"It’s very freeing to open up to someone. There is so much strength in being vulnerable."

Selena Gomez' relationship status is very confusing these days.

Just days after the "Single Soon" singer seemingly made it crystal clear that she does not have a boyfriend, she was photographed holding hands with an unidentified man, looking like they were enjoying a nice date.

Obviously, one can go on a date with someone without them being a couple; it's just that Selena's TikTok from the other day made it seem like she wasn't seeing anyone at all. But perhaps we got the wrong end of the stick, who knows!

Anyway, posting on the social media platform last week, Selena hilariously lip synced to an audio that said: "Guess who has a boyfriend! Not me, b*tch, y'all be safe out there!"

But in new photos published by Page Six, Sel can be seen leaving the Costes Hotel in Paris with a mystery man, his arm wrapped around her shoulder, with the Only Murders in the Building star holding his hand over said shoulder.

The man was wearing a dark Nike hoodie paired with plain jeans and trainers. Meanwhile, Selena looked fabulous in a leopard-print maxi dress, overlaid with a long black leather coat. The star wore her hair in a tight, sleek ponytail that showed off her chunky gold hoop earrings. She also wore a massive ear-to-ear grin, betraying her happy state of mind.

According to Page Six, these photos were taken after Selena enjoyed dinner in the French capital with her close friends Nicola Peltz and Brooklyn Beckham.

Earlier that day, the trio had attended a football game between Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) and Olympique de Marseille (OM), at the Parc des Princes, though Selena's "mystery man" was not with them.

Selena, Brooklyn and Nicola became close in recent months, and are always joking about being a "throuple" because they spend so much time together, and it's honestly really sweet. Love it for them.

Selena Gomez is known for speaking her mind in every situation. And if she's not speaking up, she often lets her facial expressions speak for her, as she did at this week's MTV VMAs.

While the nominations for Best R&B were being read out on the night, the Only Murders In The Building star was filmed in the audience reacting to what she was hearing. 

She started out smiling and clapping, but when Chris Brown's name was called out, the Selena could clearly be seen pointedly not clapping nor smiling. She even scrunched up her face in a show of distaste, then began smiling and cheering again once the next name was read.

Chris, who was nominated for his part on Chloe Bailey's song How Does It Feel, pleaded guilty for physically assaulting his ex-girlfriend Rihanna in 2009, according to People. Since then, he has also been accused of allegedly punching Frank Ocean, hitting an unnamed man in Las Vegas, and punching a photographer.

His ex-girlfriend Karrueche Tran was also granted a restraining order against him after she alleged that he threatened her with violence, and he was also accused by one woman of sexual assault in 2018, and by another of rape in 2022.

While Chris and his team have denied some of the allegations made against him over the years, many members of the public feel uneasy about his continued place in the spotlight.

People praised Selena for her reaction on Twitter, with one person saying: "She represents all of us."

Another wrote: "Exactly, she’s so real," with someone else agreeing: "The realest."

Another person commented on Selena's scrunched-up expression of disgust, writing: "The stank face? She’s so real for that."

Earlier this year, Hailey Bieber and Selena Gomez found themselves at the forefront of intense online speculation about a rumoured feud. 

Following what has since been dubbed 'eyebrow gate', fandoms on both sides saturated Instagram and TikTok with their takes on the nature of their relationship, and things took such a turn that Selena and Hailey both shared statements urging their followers to be kinder. 

The pair started following each other on Instagram shortly afterwards, and more recently Hailey appeared to stand up for Selena when the Only Murders in the Building star faced cruel comments on her social media photos.

She told interviewer Emily Chang: "I don't think that this is about me, Hailey Bieber and Selena Gomez. This is not about this pitting between two women and division between two women.

"It's about the vile, disgusting hatred that can come from completely made-up and twisted and perpetuated narratives. That can be really dangerous."

Hailey also added that the entire narrative 'really hurt [her] feelings' and that she only hopes that people can come together. 

She added: "I think that it's an opportunity to really stand for bringing people together and not being ok with the kind of division that it caused because I'm not ok with the kind of division that it caused."

"I don't like this whole idea of team this person and team this person – I'm just not about that. I want to be able to bring people together.

"I don't want silly made-up drama to affect what I’m focusing and working on. There's narratives that exist for me that really hurt my feelings and make me really upset."

Hailey ended with: "It's so disappointing that people still behave this way over a man. It's the world we live in, unfortunately."

While she didn't name Selena specifically, Hailey's Instagram story came after numerous comments on one of Selena's Instagram pictures regarding their alleged 'drama'. 

Hailey wrote: "If you’re leaving mean or rude comments on anyone’s post just know that I don’t want that, nor do I ever or will I ever support or condone hateful, mean, or nasty comments. Doing that is not supporting me."

She added: "If you are participating in that you are part of a culture that I want no part of. Please be nice or don’t say anything."

It seems to be the week for surprising celebrity couples. First, we found out that Harry Styles and Emily Ratajkowski were smooching in the streets of Tokyo. 

Now, it has been reported that Selena Gomez could be dating former One Direction bandmate Zayn Malik. 

While Selena has been dealing with the online speculation over her situation with Hailey Bieber, behind the scenes it seems she has been enjoying some quality time with the singer.

Apparently, the pair were spotted on a date in New York City - and onlookers claim they were looking very cosy. 

According to Entertainment Tonight, Selena and Zayn were seen 'holding hands and were kissing', and 'were comfortable together and it was clear that it was a date.'

An eyewitness told the publication: "Selena and Zayn went out in SoHo in New York City last night at around 10:30 pm. 

"They walked in holding hands and were kissing. Most restaurant staff and restaurant-goers didn't notice them. It seemed like they were comfortable together and it was clear that it was a date."

TikToker @klarissa.mpeg appeared to confirm the date by claiming that a friend of hers who works in a Manhattan restaurant had seen Selena and Zayn 'hand in hand making out'. 

Fans were confused by the potential blossoming romance as Selena recently hinted that she was single, posting a TikTok of herself lip-syncing to a sound which says: "I hate it when girls are like, ‘Oh my gosh, my crush doesn’t even know that I exist.’ Girl, my crush doesn’t even exist!"

Zayn, who shares two year old daughter Khai with ex-girlfriend Gigi Hadid, has reportedly been single since the pair split in late 2021. 

Neither have commented publicly just yet - but could Selayn/Zelena be a thing?

For the last few weeks, social media has been awash with videos, theories and speculation that there are some unresolved issues between Selena Gomez and Hailey Bieber. 

It all started when Hailey shared an Instagram story with Kylie Jenner, with the pair comparing eyebrows - and the fandoms interpreted this as a 'shady' dig at Selena. What ensued was an onslaught of social media content dissecting Selena and Hailey's every move and claiming there is an ongoing issue between them. Much of this was aimed at Hailey, claiming that she was a 'bully', and Kylie and her sister, Kendall, were also dragged into it - and if you need a brief explainer, you can read about it here. 

Selena's absence from the Oscars this year fanned the flames, and netizens appeared to be taking sides with Hailey losing millions of Instagram followers, while Selena became the first woman to have over 400 million followers on the platform.

However, the Only Murders in the Building star has now addressed the situation publicly for the first time.

Writing a message to her fans on Instagram stories, Selena confirmed that Hailey had reached out to her and shared that she had been concerned about the death threats the Rhode skincare founder was receiving. 

She wrote: "Hailey Bieber reached out to me and let me know that she has been receiving death threats and such hateful negativity.

"This isn't what I stand for. No one should have to experience hate or bullying.

"I've always advocated for kindness and really want all of this to stop."

Up until now, neither Hailey nor Selena have addressed the online furore. At one of Justin Bieber's recent surprise gigs, the crowd was heard chanting 'f*ck Hailey', and shortly afterwards the singer uploaded a photo of his wife, writing: "Luv u baby."

At the time of writing, Hailey has not commented on Selena's post.

Less than three weeks ago, Selena Gomez became the most followed woman on Instagram with a whopping 392 million people clicking that follow button. 

Just a week earlier, she had 380 million followers - but quickly dethroned former title-holder, Kylie Jenner, when users started gravitating towards her profile after a rumoured feud with Hailey Bieber (it's become a whole wild thing, so catch up here). 

Now, Selena has become the first woman to boast 400 million followers on Instagram, and joins just two other celebrities who are hitting around the half a billion mark - Cristiano Ronaldo (who has 562 million followers) and Lionel Messi (442 million followers). 

It's not the first time that the Only Murders in the Building star has topped the list. Back in 2019, she was the most followed woman until Ariana Grande and Kylie Jenner borrowed the crown. 

But Selena has always been honest about the impact of social media on her mental health, candidly discussing how she has dealt with online bullying and harassment, and how she now sets boundaries on various apps to protect her welfare. 

Talking to Vanity Fair, she explained that the only app she has on her phone is TikTok. 

She said: "People can call me ugly or stupid and I'm like, whatever.

"But these people get detailed. They write paragraphs that are so specific and mean. I would constantly be crying. I constantly had anxiety…I couldn't do it anymore. It was a waste of my time."

Selena also spoke about how it affected her during a break-up, specifically the world's unsolicited opinions.

" I went through a hard time in a breakup and I didn't want to see any of the [feedback]—not necessarily about the relationship, but the opinions of me versus [someone] else," she said.

Instead of feeling pressured into using the app, she said that her assistant posts her photos and her team manages the comments. 

The Oscars 2023 wrapped up awards season this weekend, with the A-listers out in force on the champagne carpet - and what a night it was. 

The attendees were treated to performances from Lady Gaga and Rihanna, Michelle Yeoh made history when she won the Best Actress award and the after party red carpet looks were *chefs kiss*. 

But one celebrity that was notably absent from the ceremony and the events that followed was Selena Gomez. 

She has hit the headlines in recent weeks as the internet exploded with theories about 'drama' with Hailey Bieber, triggered by an Instagram post from Kylie Jenner. 

While Kylie attended the annual Vanity Fair Oscars afterparty, along with Hailey and Justin Bieber, Selena was not photographed at any associated events. 

It was the Biebers first public event since the online furore, but Selena didn't attend - which, yet again, set the rumour mill churning. 

However, the simple reason for the Only Murders In The Building star's absence has nothing to do with the internet speculation. In fact, days before the Oscars, Selena was spotted grabbing dinner with friends in New York City where she is currently filming for the third season of the show alongside recurring fixtures Steve Martin and Martin Short. The upcoming instalment will also star Meryl Streep and Emily In Paris' Ashley Park. 

The Academy Awards is held in Los Angeles, and considering that she had no nominations this year it makes sense that she would have stayed put in NYC due to her hectic filming schedule. Gomez, Martin and Short didn't attend the SAG Awards in February, either, although they did film a short OMITB sketch which aired at the start of the ceremony. 

It's also worth noting that Selena hasn't attended the Vanity Fair party since 2016, so while it has seemingly added fuel to the 'drama' speculation, it's not likely that it would have impacted her attendance. 

In fact, Selena appeared to subtly weigh in on the online commentary recently when she commented on TikTok: "Please, please be kinder and consider others mental health. My heart has been heavy, and I only want good for everyone. All my love."

So, that's that.

Selena Gomez, Hailey Bieber and Kylie Jenner have been embroiled in a whole lot of drama online, after fans interpreted a series of their social media activity as signs they were feuding — Selena and Hailey especially.

(Let's pause here to note that Selena and Hailey have repeatedly been pitted against each other because the first dated Justin Bieber, and the second is married to him, so let's take any speculation with a generous pinch of salt.)

As for Kylie, she has gone from a rounded up 380 million followers to a rounded up 379 million, meaning she's lost hundreds of thousands of followers, who may be Selena fans who feel strongly about the whole drama.

So, why are people attempting to take sides in this story? Let's recap.

In January, Selena was body-shamed over bikini photos taken in Cabo, Mexico. After that happened, Hailey posted then deleted a TikTok that got viewers thinking she was "shading" Selena.

The video was of Hailey, Kendall Jenner and Justine Skye lip-syncing over a sound that goes: "I'm not saying she deserved it, but I'm saying God's timing is always right."

TikTok user @riristea posted a video in which she wondered whether there was a hidden message in Hailey's post, and some commenters seemed convinced it was directed at Selena.

But Hailey herself quickly set the record straight and commented: "I never comment on this type of thing but we were just having a girls night and did a random tik tok sound for fun. It’s not directed at anyone."

TikTok user @ellenacuario then recapped the situation, and Selena commented: "It’s ok! I don’t let these things get me down! Be nice to everyone! x" (via StyleCaster).

THEN, Selena said on TikTok that she had "accidentally laminated my eyebrows too much." Hours later, Kylie Jenner posted a selfie with the words "this was an accident ????" written over her eyebrows, then posted a screenshot of a FaceTime call with Hailey, in which they zoomed in on their eyebrows.

When a TikTok user pointed out the timing of all of this, Kylie commented: "this is reaching. no shade towards selena ever and I didn't see her eyebrow posts! u guys are making something out of nothing. this is silly."

Selena backed her up, saying: "Agreed @kyliejenner It's all unnecessary. I'm a fan of Kylie!"

But wait, there's more. An old video reemerged on TikTok a few days after Eyebrow Gate in which Hailey appeared to express her distaste for Taylor Swift's music.

Selena commented on this video: "So sorry, my best friend is and continues to be one of the best in the game"

After that, Selena briefly deactivated her TikTok, having told her fans: "I'm gonna be taking a second from social media, because this is a little silly. And I'm 30, I'm too old for this, so... but I love you guys so much! And I will see you guys sooner than later, I just... I'm just gonna just take a break from everything."

Selena Gomez has previously spoken out about her mental health, and now she is taking it one step further to champion the wellbeing conversation even more.

The Only Murders in the Building actor and her beauty brand's charity, Rare Impact Fund, has teamed up with MTV Entertainment to host the first-ever Mental Health Youth Action Forum with the White House.

The collaboration between MTV, the 29-year-old singer, and her beauty label, as well as America's Biden-Harris Administration, is part of MTVE's Mental Health is Health initiative.

As part of the Mental Health is Health campaign a forum will be held, which will see Selena and her company join 30 other mental health activists to discuss their battles with mental health, and to encourage a wider conversation around the topic.

Selena, as well as Rare Beauty organisations, will be accompanied by other brands, government agencies and leaders, to encourage those in need to seek support when struggling emotionally, and to end the stigma around mental health.

Selena, 29, is "thrilled" to be invited to be part of the forum.

She said: "As an advocate for mental health, I am thrilled to join forces with MTV Entertainment alongside my social impact initiative, the Rare Impact Fund, with the goal of de-stigmatising mental health through shaping positive conversations about self-acceptance and mental well-being.

"I have a long-standing passion for mental health advocacy and education, which is why I created Rare Beauty and the Rare Impact Fund. It's a personal mission to continue this important work and empower young people to address their mental health."

Selena's Rare Beauty organisation launched the Rare Impact Fund in July 2020, which sees one per cent of all Rare Beauty sales donated to the initiative, which aims increase accessibility to mental health services in schools.

The Rare Impact Fund has an impressive target of $100 million to raise over the next 10 years.

The President of the Rare Impact Fund, Elyse Cohen, said: "The nation's mental health crisis has been magnified by the current state of the world. Now more than ever, the conversation of mental health is critical to our collective well-being, especially among youth who desperately need access to mental health support, education, and services, which the Rare Impact Fund works to make accessible."

Discussing the collaboration and upcoming event, Elyse added: "We are grateful to be a part of this event in coordination with the Biden-Harris Administration that encourages ongoing mental health action and provides a platform for impactful storytelling."

Meanwhile, MTVE's Mental Health is Health initiative was set up in April 2021, and also aims to encourage the conversation surrounding mental wellbeing.

Last year saw the launch of the Better Together Mental Health Storytelling Summit, which saw the launch of The Mental Health Media Guide that provides resources and advice for content creators to discuss mental health.

MTVE Entertainment are also proud to be bringing together big names across all industries.

President and CEO, Paramount Media Networks and MTV Entertainment Studios, Chris McCarthy, said: "We are proud to partner with Selena Gomez, a global superstar and leader in mental health advocacy, with whom we share a commitment to destigmatise and normalise the conversation around mental health, given its alarming rise among young people.

The event will take place on 18 May in Washington D.C, which is one day prior to the Mental Health Action Day on 19 May this year.

Pete Davidson was rumoured to helm the hotly anticipated 94th Annual Academy Awards.

However, Variety has reported the 28-year-old comedian has not been chosen to present the awards ceremony because of a clash with his work commitments.

Now, there is growing speculation singer Selena Gomez, 29, could be in talks to present this year's gig, alongside her Only Murders In The Building co-stars Steve Martin and Martin Short. And we are all for this decision!

Davidson - who is currently dating Kim Kardashian - is said to have had an "informal conversation" with Pete's team and producers about the possibility of hosting the ceremony.

But it is reportedly "highly unlikely" Pete will present the segment because of his affiliation with NBC, which is the rival network to ABC who air the Oscars.

The Lose You To Love Me hitmaker is believed to be a preferred host, as there is hope the 29-year-old singer and actor will bring in a young audience, but also because Selena, Steve and Martin are an "iconic trio".

Speaking about the possible host, Hulu Originals and ABC Entertainment president, Craig Erwich, said: "I mean, they are an iconic trio.

'They have mass appeal. Everybody loves them. They’d be a dream. That said, there’s a lot of incredible talent we’re considering. We’re having ongoing conversations with Will and the Academy about it."

If Selena, Steve and Martin present the prestigious bash, it would mark the fourth time the Father of the Bride actor has hosted the Academy Awards.

Steve, 76, has presented the Annual Academy Awards solo in 2001 and 2003, as well as with Alec Baldwin in 2010. Could it be fourth time lucky?

This year's Oscars is set to take place on March 27, 2022, and will air on ABC.
