As an avid and lifelong Sex and The City fan, I couldn't help but wonder... is there a deeper meaning behind Sarah Jessica Parker starring in UGG's Autumn/Winter 2025 campaign? The actor was unveiled as the new face of the cult Southern Californian brand just days after the final-ever episode of And Just Like That aired earlier this year—and it feels anything but coincidental.

Instead, it reads as a fabulously full-circle moment. One that marks the end of one chapter for the actor—namely, the Manolo Blahnik stiletto-filled Carrie-verse—and an intentional step in another, wonderfully unexpected direction. It's worth noting, too, that SJP Collection, Parker's namesake shoe brand best-known for its glamorous heels, is currently in the process of winding down.

Suitably titled 'Iconic from the First Step', UGG's latest campaign features Parker alongside the likes of Jeremy Scott, Central Cee and Elsa Hosk, to celebrate the brand's decades-long journey from Cali beaches to the feet of some of the world's most prominent stars. Parker appears on the streets of Paris in a decidedly Bradshaw-esque ensemble—a sparkling skirt, black top and pearl necklace—paired with her trusty platform UGGs. Proof, if ever we needed it, that even fashion’s most enduring style icons can’t resist the cosy, comfy allure of the classic sheepskin boot, nor shy away from styling them in fresh, unexpected ways.

Here, Sarah Jessica Parker sits down exclusively with Marie Claire UK to discuss her journey in shoes and fashion— from childhood, to Carrie Bradshaw, to today.

What drew you to working with UGG for this campaign?
"To me, UGG has always represented comfort, warmth, and an effortless approach to dressing. There’s something very honest about the brand, and I admire their ability to partner comfort with style, year after year."

What is your all-time favourite UGG style?
"I think I’d have to say the Classic boot. It’s exactly what it says it is—classic. There’s a universality to it; anyone, anywhere can wear them and look like themselves."

What is your first memory of UGGs?
"I remember the first time I slipped them on; someone on set brought their pair to keep warm between scenes. I thought, 'oh, this is a hug for my feet'. Back then, on set, I wore them with sweats and a big coat. But over the years, I found ways to style them with almost any look. Now, I love balancing the softness with something structured; a tailored coat, a pair of jeans that fits just right. UGG boots are unexpectedly sophisticated when you let them be the grounding moment in a look."

What are your tricks for keeping your UGGs pristine?
"Care! A protective spray, a soft brush, and respect for the suede. And when life happens, you let the imperfection tell a story. There’s nothing better than a well-loved pair of UGG boots."

How has your approach to footwear changed over the years?
"I’ve always gravitated towards footwear that makes me feel like myself. I love everything from a bright coloured pump to a shearling lined boot. I believe in shoes that make you feel good; make you feel like you."

Have you always loved shoes?
"Always. My mother used to take me and my siblings shoe shopping when we were young, and it was always such an event. We didn't have much, so choosing a pair was thoughtful, deliberate, almost ceremonial. I remember running my fingers over each pair, smelling the leather, admiring the stitching. I still feel that emotional over certain pairs of shoes."

What is your most treasured pair of shoes?
"I could never choose a favourite. That’s like asking me to pick a favourite child."

Which shoes are currently on your wishlist?
"I don’t do a lot of shoe shopping which may surprise people. But if I had to put together a wishlist, I bet it would include a handful of beautiful Repetto shoes."

How would you describe your personal style?
"Intentional but curious. Over time, I’ve learned to trust instinct. The most important part about clothing is that you feel like yourself when you’re wearing it."

Is there anything you would never wear?
"Again, never say never. Fashion is play. I don’t believe in rules."

How similar is your style to Carrie Bradshaw's?
"Carrie and I are very different people. We both love shoes, but her in a much more fevered manner. She was braver sometimes; she’d try combinations I might only admire on someone else. I never hated a single thing I wore on the show. Every look had purpose. Every decision was intentional."

What is your favourite-ever look from Carrie’s Sex and the City wardrobe?
"It’s hard to choose, but perhaps the tutu. For sentimental reasons. It captured Carrie’s spirit so perfectly at that time: playful, unafraid, romantic."

And your favourite look from And Just Like That…?
"Getting to rewear clothes from the original series was incredibly special, like the Vivienne Westwood wedding dress and the Versace millefeuille gown. Both were just as sentimental as they were dramatic and theatrical. Wearing such beautiful garments is always a privilege."

Sarah Jessica Parker has opened up about her cult character Carrie Bradshaw's relationship with the fictional Mr. Big. The latter was one of Carrie's two great loves on Sex and the City and he reprised his role during the first episode of And Just Like That — before being almost immediately killed off. Therefore, Carrie started the SATC revival as a grieving widow after their 11 year marriage.

"Big dying was really, really hard to do both professionally and personally," Sarah Jessica said in a new interview with E! News ahead of the show's season 3 premiere. "That's not just a thread. It's one of the main arteries that you would struggle to do without. It was really sad to say goodbye to that." She continued: "It's not like I needed it for my own health or wellbeing, but that was a hugely wonderful story to tell for a lot of years."

Asked about the "objections" that many fans have had to Carrie and Big's relationship — which has often been called "toxic" over the years — SJP said: "All of it was a mess, and all of it was wonderful. It was romantic, and it was a disaster. It was destructive, and it was healthy."

Chris Noth, the actor who played Big, was accused of sexual assault by several women in 2021, but has denied all the allegations, as reported by The Guardian. Following the accusations, Sarah Jessica Parker and her And Just Like That costars Kristin Davis and Cynthia Nixon issued the following statement: "We are deeply saddened to hear the allegations against Chris Noth. We support the women who have come forward and shared their painful experiences. We know it must be a very difficult thing to do and we commend them for it."

Cynthia, who plays Miranda, has also called out the original series for some of the things it got wrong. Speaking to Grazia recently, the actress and activist said: "It was always very difficult being on a show that was so white. I always hated that. When we would raise it, we were told: this is Candace Bushnell’s world and it’s a very white world. I’m like, OK…" She added: "Some of the trans stuff, some of the gay stuff, was a little cringy to look at."

When And Just Like That season two hit our screens a couple of weeks ago, we were feeling more than ready. It feels like an absolute age since we saw those leaked outfit shots (ahem, that pigeon bag anyone?) and Sex and the City fans were keen to find out what all those Carrie and Aidan photos were all about. 

However, one question that has been on the lips of every diehard SATC viewer is whether or not the one and only Kim Cattrall would ever return to reprise her role as Samantha Jones. 

In recent years, Kim hasn't shied away from discussing her experience on the show and has called her relationship with SJP 'toxic'. 

But when HBO called her about a cameo in the second season of the spin-off, she agreed to come back on one condition. 

While the details of her return have been kept tightly under wraps, Kim did share that she worked alongside original show costume designer Patricia Field for the bit which is set to air soon. According to the New York Post, the cameo was even a surprise to those on set with Kim's name left off call sheets during filming. 

Last week, SJP said that she was thrilled about Kim's part telling Entertainment Tonight: "I was really excited about the idea. I thought it was a really good idea and I was thrilled that, you know, we could make it happen and that it worked for her and it's just really nice to see. It's really nice. I was really pleased."

But she has since admitted that the leak of Samantha's return did leave her feeling 'upset'.

During an interview on SiriusXM’s Andy Cohen Live, she shared: "[I] couldn’t have been more upset.

"It’s a big bummer because it would’ve been so like fireworks in the middle, you know, and also because we want to make sure that expectations are real.

"Like it’s a little exchange that is happy and it says everything about their relationship and all the stuff that’s off camera.

"Like yeah, they’re talking. They talk all the time, and it comes at a significant moment of the series so…"

While SJP fears the cat has been let out of the bag, the news of Samantha's return has done nothing but excite viewers who cannot wait to see her back in the SATC universe. 

We are SO ready. 

When And Just Like That hit our screens last year, Sex and the City fans had a lot to say about it. Aside from the excitement - and division - over costumes and new characters, many of them couldn't help but wonder: where on earth was Samantha Jones, and could anything persuade Kim Cattrall to reprise her role? 

Over the years, she has been fairly vocal about her feelings towards a return, as well as former cast mate Sarah Jessica Parker who she has claimed she was 'never friends' with,  calling their relationship 'toxic'.

It is a question that has been put to her again and again, and while she said she 'wasn't asked' to return for the spin-off series, even if she had been it was clear that it wasn't of interest to her at the time as she told Variety: "It's a great wisdom to know when enough is enough. I also didn't want to compromise what the show was to me. The way forward seemed clear."

However, it seems that was only one thing that could convince her to return when HBO came knocking.

Earlier this month, it was confirmed that Samantha Jones does indeed have an upcoming cameo in And Just Like That - and it had fans utterly shooketh. While the extent of her return and the context is yet to be revealed, it hasn't stopped many speculating about what we can expect from Kim's character. 

But what was it that finally convinced the Glamorous star to nip back into the world of SATC? 

During an appearance on The View, Kim explained that she agreed to come back - on one condition. 

She said: "It’s very interesting to get a call from the head of HBO saying, ‘What can we do?’ 

"And I went, ‘Hmm…' Let me get creative - and one of those things was to get Pat Field back because I just thought that if I’m going to come back I gotta come back with that Samantha style, I gotta push it and we did."

Patricia Field was the costume designer for Sex and the City, and is more recently known for the looks on Emily in Paris. 

Sarah Jessica Parker also commented on the iconic character's return, saying: "I was really excited about the idea. 

"I thought it was a really good idea and I was thrilled that, you know, we could make it happen and that it worked for her and it's just really nice to see. 

"It's really nice. I was really pleased."

Excited? Same.

Anyone who's even a tiny bit of a Sex and the City fan knows by now that Kim Cattrall will be making a short cameo in the series reboot And Just Like That for the season 2 finale.

Kim accepted to film a scene as Samantha Jones despite being in an active feud with some of the cast and crew — particularly Sarah Jessica Parker, who plays Carrie Bradshaw — so her return has definitely come as a surprise to viewers. But SJP has just broken her silence about the situation, and she's refusing to further fan the flames.

"I was really excited about the idea," Sarah Jessica told Entertainment Tonight about the much-anticipated cameo. "I thought it was a really good idea and I was thrilled that, you know, we could make it happen and that it worked for her and it's just really nice to see. It's really nice. I was really pleased."

In And Just Like That, Carrie and Samantha have fallen out and they only briefly communicated via text in season 1 (since Kim declined to participate in the reboot).

In season 2, Samantha is expected to make a phone call, presumably to Carrie  (though this is unconfirmed). This way, Kim didn't have to see any of her fellow cast members during filming.

SJP added about the Samantha narrative in season 2: "I think it reflects the relationship that we've been sharing via text for last season and this season. You know, this is a hugely important relationship for Carrie, it's been filled with affection. We just thought it was a really nice idea to put a face to the text, really in large part to celebrate the 25 years of [Sex and the City]."

Kim and Sarah Jessica's feud reportedly goes back as far as the 2000s, and has sadly only escalated ever since. Here's hoping they can sort it out in the future.

Carrie Bradshaw returned to our screens in late 2021, eleven years after Sex and the City fans waved goodbye to the Monolo-wearing writer and her pals, Charlotte York-Goldenblatt and Miranda Hobbes.

While Samantha Jones didn't return for the first season of And Just Like That, there is another character that was confirmed to be rejoining the cast for season two - none other than Aidan Shaw. 

News of Aidan's arrival sent fans into a frenzy last summer, with actor John Corbett confirming that he would reprise the role of Carrie's former flame. 

As SATC fans will remember, Aidan and Carrie were on and off, with the couple initially splitting when she confessed that she slept with Mr. Big, and then reuniting - but breaking up once again after their engagement when Carrie realised she couldn't commit. 

Of course, Carrie then went on to marry Mr. Big. The pair were married for over a decade but tragically - during a shocking first episode of AJLT - he suffered a heart attack and passed away. 

The season finished by hinting at a possible romance between Carrie and her podcast producer Franklyn, but recent photos of her getting cosy with Aidan say something very different. 

John and SJP were spotted filming in New York a few weeks ago, strolling down the street holding hands - and sending fans into a tailspin. 

Are Carrie and Aidan back together? Is that romantic hand holding or will it be spun into some kind of cutsie friend thing? What on earth does it mean?! 

Well, even newer pictures of the pair have emerged - and it's clear that their characters aren't just meeting up for platonic flat whites and pastries. 

Photos of Carrie and Aidan kissing on the city streets have emerged, and SJP herself posted snaps of them locking lips on Instagram.

Sharing the stills, she wrote: "This. Is. Not. A. Drill."

Unsurprisingly, her followers flocked in their thousands to express their mixed feelings - including the A-listers. 

Presenter Andy Cohen commented: "I'm freaking."

Gwyneth Paltrow wrote: "NO WAYYYYYY."

HBO - any chance of an And Just Like That season 2 release date please?

Sex And The City spin off And Just Like That is set to return for new season after much anticipation. 

Sarah Jessica Parker picks up her role as Carrie Bradshaw in the series, and alongside co-star Sara Ramirez - who plays Che Diaz - she teased a hint that And Just Like That is in the works. 

A few months ago a representative from HBO confirmed a second instalment would be heading to our small screens, with Michael Patrick King telling The Hollywood Reporter: "I am delighted and excited to tell more stories about these vibrant, bold characters — played by these powerful, amazing actors.

"The fact is, we're all thrilled. And just like that our sex life is back."

Ever since, fans have been in a frenzy to know exactly when it will return, how to watch, and the cast - plus, that all important question if Kim Cattrall may make an appearance. 

And Just Like That season 2 cast

The usual suspects will reprise their roles in the forthcoming series with SJP returning as Carrie Bradshaw, Kristin Davis as Charlotte York Goldenblatt and Cynthia Nixon playing Miranda Hobbes. 

Sara Ramirez will also return as Che Diaz, after she teased the second instalment on social media.

Kim Cattrall - who portrayed the iconic Samantha Jones in Sex And the City - is not expected to star in And Just Like That season two as she was absent from the first series. 

However, there is growing speculation John Corbett’s character, Aidan Shaw, may make an appearance in the new series.

Trying not to give too much away when asked if he will revive his role as Carrie’s former love interest once more, in an interview with Entertainment Tonight he replied: “Could be, could be. Well, you know, I can't be like, cryptic about it anymore.”

And Just Like That season 2 release date

A release date for the new season has yet to be revealed. 

However, King previously told Variety the aim is for the upcoming production to hit our screens in the summer of 2023. 

But we will keep you updated as soon as we know more.

Has filming for And Just Like That season 2 started?

From what we can gather, yes. 

On Sara Ramirez’s Instagram account she posted a picture of the script, which she captioned: “shhhhh….”

SJP also posted a picture of her script, which only gave away the episode number (401 for those super keen fans).

Alongside the post, Sarah wrote: “Just this much. For now. X, SJ”

The posts were just a matter of weeks ago, so that tells us filming could be underway - and fingers crossed will be hitting our screens soon.

Just earlier this month, the cast - including Sarah and Kristin Davis - were pictured showing off the eclectic styling choices for their characters while filming on the streets of New York City. 

All we have to say is: pigeon clutch. 

How to watch And Just Like That 

And Just Like That landed on HBO in late 2021, and we anticipate the second series will also drop on the platform too. 

The series is also available to watch on Now TV and Amazon Prime, for those who have a Prime membership (although you can sign up for a 30-day free trial, which is well worth doing so not to miss out).

What happened in And Just Like That season 1 

In the first series, written by Michael Patrick King, Carrie is seen navigating life as a single fifty-something following the death of her husband Big, Miranda splits from Brady to move to Los Angeles with comedian partner Che Diaz, and Charlotte is parenting her two children. While Kim Cattrall declined to participate in the project, her character Samantha Jones is referred to numerous times during the reboot, and now lives in London.

The 10-episode first season came to a conclusion in February 2022, and before the confirmation there were rumours flying around from actors and producers that fans could be treated to a second series. 

Is Kim Cattrall in And Just Like That? 

As far as we know, Kim Cattrall will not be starring in And Just Like That season 2.

The 66-year-old actor was not on board for the first series, and when asked about returning to the role she simply stated: "That's a no. It's powerful to say no."

Kim has since claimed she was "never asked" to star in the spin off series. 

She told Variety: "I was never asked to be part of the reboot. I made my feelings clear after the possible third movie, so I found out about it like everyone else did — on social media."

Each IT-girl is to put their personal design stamp on the ultimate IT-bag before an online charity auction kicking off on 13th February. Artist Rachel Feinstein and Man Repeller blogger Leandra Medine have also been chosen to collaborate on the project, as the Italian mega-house selected five of New York’s most fashionable residents each with a completely different sense of style.

'Having the Fendi Baguette was a very big deal, and the gateway to everything else,' SJP previously said of the Fendi Baguette's importance to Carrie Bradshaw. 'It really opened the floodgates and influenced the storyline - especially Carrie's habit of spending more money on fashion than her home. The Baguette became a staple of Carrie's wardrobe and character… I recently archived both [my original] Baguettes to keep them in pristine condition. Responsible for our six-year love-in with digital prints and serious embellishments, Mary Katrantzou is renowned for her statement cocktail dresses which go heavy on the detail.

Since earning the admiration of the fashion pack, she’s become a firm favourite among the A-list and is responsible for many a stand-out red carpet look. So who better to speak to about perfecting the art of party dressing?

We caught up with the British Fashion Award nominee to talk career highlights, styling prints and red carpet dressing…

What have been your highlights of the year and what's next for you? For AW14 I made a conscious decision to pull my work away from print and concentrate on developments and silhouette. I've been known for my work with digital prints and precision engineering but it just felt right to evolve that language and take my work to a more mature level. I'm more excited when I’m working with something that makes me feel more uncomfortable! On that note, the collection we've just launched with adidas Originals has been a real learning curve for me. I've never worked with sportswear or designed for such a huge market so it's been really interesting and I’m so pleased with the end result.

You were nominated for the Red Carpet award at the British Fashion Awards, who have been your red carpet highlights? It's an honour to see VIPs and customers alike in my designs. Sarah Jessica Parker wore AW14 to the NYC ballet fall gala in September and she looked phenomenal, it was a really special moment for me as it was the first time I'd ever designed costumes and for her to wear my design as one of the ballets ambassadors was really amazing.

Is there anyone you'd love to see in your designs, past or present? Hedy Lamarr - a classic Hollywood star with brains as well as beauty!

What inspires you and your designs? Everything. From a great film to a postage stamp to a butchers apron! My collections are thematic but I try not to restrict myself with a label at the beginning; I let them evolve and then explore how we can filter ideas through a more modern, innovative medium.

What’s the secret to perfecting a red carpet-worthy party look? Wear something you feel comfortable in and wear it with confidence. And I am a firm believer in Coco Chanel’s theory of taking the last thing you put on before you leave the house, off!

You're renowned for bold prints and intricate embellishments, do you have any styling tips for wearing such pieces? The Swarovski Collective has allowed me to really be innovative and creative with our use of embellishment. We use Swarovski crystals to give the garments heightened texture and elevating the ideas we have about modern craftsmanship. The silhouettes that we use reflect that decoration and heighten the pieces to a demi-couture level. The women who wear my designs do so because it allows them to channel their personality through what they are wearing, they can stand out in a room, and the dress becomes a conversational piece, just like a piece of art hanging in someone’s home would. As for styling tips, I have seen people go maximalist with the pieces, and minimalist and a bit grungy, I think both work as long as you commit to your look! For the show I always like to have a pure and fresh beauty look as I think the clothes do the talking, the Katrantzou woman is pure and statuesque, she doesn't need to over think her look.

Updated: 8/10/14 Sarah Jessica Parker has dropped ANOTHER huge hint to a third Sex and the City movie on her Instagram today, posting a picture of herself sitting on what looks an awful lot like Carrie Bradshaw's doorstep, with the hashtag 'Long Day For Carrie'.

'It was take your @sjpcollection shoes to work day. #longdayforCarrie #whewwwwthosesteps #runninginheels #taxi!' the quote read, without actually specifying what work SJP was doing. Cryptic, right? It seems like it's only a matter of time before an official announcement is made.

There have been whispers about a third SATC movie for months and, now, singer Jennifer Hudson has given the biggest hint yet that Carrie Bradshaw, Samantha Jones, Charlotte York and Miranda Hobbes are to be reunited.

Sarah Jessica Parker’s Greenwich Village townhouse is up for sale, for a cool $22million, no less. This is interesting news, sure, but what’s even more exciting is seeing SJP’s eye for interiors at work in the images released by her estate agent.

As we could have probably predicted, the Sex And The City actress has stunning taste – injecting pops of colour throughout her light, minimal space using colourful art pieces and sculptural furniture. Step inside and see all the interior images in the gallery above.

Described by the estate agent as ‘the architectural and historical embodiment of pristine New York luxury living’ the 1840s-built house, which she shares with husband Matthew Broderick and three children has five floors, five bedrooms, and SEVEN gorgeous fireplaces.

There’s a walk-in wardrobe (did you really expect any less) a split level garden and something called a parlour floor, which, if, we’re honest, we’re not sure what we would do with. It even comes with a full-time doorman and concierge.

Is this the perfect Manhattan home? We think Carrie Bradshaw would be pretty proud.

Sarah Jessica Parker was on bridesmaid duty this weekend, supporting former Sex And The City assistant Melinda Relyea as she married James Kearns in a beautiful Connecticut ceremony.

The bride opted for a black and white gown with knife-pleat hip volumes (believed to be by Oscar de la Renta) and dressed each of her six bridesmaids in draped plum floor-length dresses.

The venue of choice was the First Presbyterian Church of Greenwich, with the reception being held at the Belle Haven Club – perfect for official photos by the sea side.

Attending with her husband Matthew Broderick, Sarah Jessica posted a bundle of stunning Insta-snaps from the event (see the gallery above for all the images). 'It's wedding day for Melinda!’ she wrote beside a shot of her gown hanging up. ‘My bridesmaid dress, stretching, releasing wrinkles and then a quick disco nap before heading towards church and a very joyous day and night. Assistant to Sarah Jessica from 2000 to 2009, Melinda worked on Sex And The City series (even had a cameo role), Did You Hear About The Morgans (2009) and Failure To Launch (2006) in which SJP starred with Matthew McConnaughey.

After spending 9 years in the assisting role, Melinda was made an associate producer on both of the Sex And The City movies, as well as becoming vice president of Pretty Matches, SJP’s production company.

Best boss ever? With the megastar graciously posing for selfies with the bride’s family and friends, it certainly looks that way.

Sarah Jessica Parker is known for her creative sense of style - and it's becoming clear that her twin daughters have inherited the fashion gene.

The mum of three was spotted strolling through New York City on Monday afternoon with her 4-year-old twins, Marion and Tabitha - and together, they made quite the style statement.

Marion wore a colourful printed skirt over a yellow dress and topped off the look with an on-trend bomber jacket and a pair of quirky legwarmers. Tabitha took a more femine approach, wearing a classic denim jacket and a pleated baby-pink skirt over polka-dot leggings.

Meanwhile, their fashionista mum, 49, rocked a triple denim look with ever-so-cool white velcro trainers.

But if you think SJP spends all her down time playing dress-up with her girls, you'd be wrong. The actress says Marion and Tabitha have been picking out their own outfits since they were 2 years old.

'Monday through Friday, they pick their own clothes,' she told ABC in January. 'On the weekends if there is a special occasion, then I get a say in it.'

And last month, SJP reiterated to E! News that she's making no conscious effort to bring her girls into the fashion fold. 'I will say, any true keen interest they have in fashion is engineered soley on their own!' she said. 'They have wonderful fantasy lives that have nothing to do with who I am. They really make up their own clothes and costumes and dress themselves.'

Judging by their recent outfits, the girls have already mastered the art of mixing prints and layering. Looks like they're doing just fine without their mother's help.

Sarah Jessica Parker had some very bad news to share on The Ellen DeGeneres Show yesterday.

As expected, the question of Sex And The City 3 came up - and SJP's answer sent us swirling into a deep depression.

Okay, that's maybe a bit dramatic - but she did say that a third instalment is probably not happening. At least not anytime soon.

'I've tried to make up some interesting answers every time I've been asked this question lately,' she said. 'And the truth of the matter is there has been no real conversation about a third movie at all.

It definitely doesn't sound good. If there were plans to make a third film, we're guessing SJP would be the first to know.

After more than a decade playing the shoe-obsessed Carrie Bradshaw on Sex and the City, the actress has walked in hundreds of sky-high Manolo Blahniks. But now she's taking a spin in her own line of fancy footwear.

The 48-year-old mum of three showed off her collection on the US chat programme The Wendy Williams Show. She modelled the Carrie shoe, a navy-blue patent stilettos are named of her her iconic S&TC character.

The designer explained that all her shoes feature her signature mark: a stripe of grosgrain up the back.

'When I was a little girl we had to wear braids in our hair everyday and ribbons. We had no money but we had a bureau filled with ribbons,' she explained.

'So when I was in an early design meeting I asked if we could put grosgrain up the back seam.'

Kim Cattrall has weighed in on the latest Sex and the City rumours, suggesting a third film COULD happen.

Telling SATC fans exactly what they wanted to hear, Kim has admitted she would be more than willing to step back into Samantha Jones' glamorous shoes. 

Please, please, please.

'I feel the most important thing is always, do we have something left to say,' Kim Cattrall told ET Canada. 'I think it's about the story, if there's something more to say, [but] I'm not a writer and I don't work in a studio.

'For me, financially, it would be fantastic, for all of us. But I am really about content and where is it going to take me? Is there something left to say?'

Kim's exciting comments were made in response to Sarah Jessica Parker, who recently fuelled some serious Sex And The City rumours of her own.

'A part of me thinks there is one last chapter to tell…', she admitted. 'Timing is a peculiar thing. It isn't a decision that can wait forever.'

'I don't think (a third film) is a pipe dream, there is discussion', SJP said in an earlier interview with Haute Living magazine. 'People talk about it amongst the people who are the players, but I don't know if it will come together. It would be very exciting if it did.'

Last night, the actress and mum-of-three attended the New York City Ballet Gala at the Lincoln Centre's David H. Koch theatre in the Big Apple alongside Doutzen Kroes, Amber Valetta, Nicky Hilton and a stunning Natalie Portman. But we just can't get enough of Sarah Jessica's soon-to-be-iconic dress.

The star wore a stunning creation by Olivier Theyskins and Prabal Gurung, who both accompanied her on the red carpet to admire their handiwork. The ivory satin skirt, worthy of a wedding, was designed by Olivier, while Prabal Gurung designed the pastel pink and white bustier. Carrie would be proud.

SJP teamed her stung look with an Acne bag nude Manolo Blahnik shoes (of course), Fallon bracelets and a ring and earrings by Fred Leighton.

The actress has spoken out about her 'devastation' at the hit movie's ending

Cynthia Nixon, who became a household name thanks to her role as Miranda Hobbes in Sex And The City, has revealed her 'devastation' at the 2008 spin-off film's finale.

Speaking to the New York Times, the US star said that she is 'proud' of what the hit TV series and subsequent films accomplished for women but feels uneasy about the parallels it drew between love and money – 'an aspect of the show' she never liked.

Talking about the famous scene at the end of the first film when Mr Big shows Sarah Jessica Parker's character, Carrie Bradshaw, a walk-in wardrobe he's built for her in their new apartment before proposing, Cynthia explained: 'Is this what these women think true love is? A man who has enough money to buy you a walk-in closet?'

She added: 'I remember when we screened the first movie in London and when Mr Big shows Carrie that closet he’s built for her, the entire audience clapped. I found that devastating. Maybe that’s a strong word, but I was disheartened.'

Anne Hathaway put on her party best last night to join Sarah Jessica Parker at the Tate Americas Foundation Artists dinner in New York.

The Oscar-winning star, who debuted a new bleached blonde hairstyle on the red carpet at the Met Ball earlier this week, showed off her long legs in a icy pale pink dress by Givenchy, which she teamed with silver multi-strap heels and a glossy clutch to match the dress' metallic shoulder detailing.

SJP, meanwhile, opted for a more summery look, choosing a lilac floral print vintage gown, blush pink pumps by Roger Vivier and jewellery by Repossi, Fred Leighton and Fendi.

The two A-listers rubbed shoulders with the likes of British TV host Alexa Chung, who looked her typical chic self in a two-tone strapless dress and black accessories, singer Ciara, Givenchy designer Riccardo Tisci and journalist Derek Blasberg, as well as Anne's husband Adam Shulman, at the art event at Skylight Studios.

The dinner party marks only the second time that Anne has made a public appearance with her new peroxide blonde hair, but we think it looks just as good this time round as when we first saw it at the punk-themed Costume Institute Gala.

Sarah Jessica Parker stole the style show at the AOL 2013 Digital Content NewFront presentation in New York last night, just hours after showing off her down time styling on the school run.

The actress wowed in a pale grey dress, contrasting heels and a bejewelled statement necklace.

Her appearance comes after it is confirmed the Sex and the City starlet will be taking part in the AOL web series.

Sarah Jesssica Parker will produce a documentary on the New York City Ballet, City.Ballet, as part of the project, which sees AOL venturing into the world of official programming.

'It's not about the drama and the backstabbing and hysteria and catfights that people tend to think exists in that world,' the actress told E! Online.

'The Ballet is at its finest point in years. It's a company that arguably has the greatest dancers in the world, and I wondered, "How can I introduce this company to a larger audience so that when people come to New York, they not only see a Broadway show, but they go 20 blocks north and buy a ticket to the ballet?"'

Also taking in part in content creation are Nicole Richie, who will star in a show based on her Twitter feed, Gwyneth Paltrow, and fitness trainer to-the-stars Tracey Anderson.

The Sex And The City star isn't a fan of the TV hit's prequel show

Playing Carrie Bradshaw in Sex And The City is the most iconic role of her career, but something tells us that Sarah Jessica Parker isn't a huge fan of the show's prequel, The Carrie Diaries.

Speaking in an interview with Net-a-Porter's digital weekly magazine, The Edit, SJP revealed that she's 'not sure' about the HBO teen drama series, which just premiered, and finds AnnaSophia Robb playing the 16-year-old title character she defined a little 'odd'.

She said: 'Im not sure… You know, I think it’s one of those tests of your generosity. She [Anna Sophia Robb] is a lovely girl and I want her to feel good about it, but it’s… odd.'

Elsewhere in the interview, the actress spoke fondly of the show that brought her fame stating that she believes it 'encouraged women to share more candidly' but stopped at saying that it empowered us. 'I hesitate to say whether we were the pioneers or whether we gave voice to something that was there,' she said. 'But I recognise there was a connection.'

With four strong female leads, there has naturally been comparisons between Sex And The City and new TV hit Girls, with SJP believing that her role as a producer on her show also paved the way for Lena Dunham, who created and writes Girls as well as stars in it.

'HBO was very encouraging of the beyond-camera role I played, and I feel that had we not done it, I don't know that would have existed for Girls,' says Parker. 'It's a such a different way of thinking and it's not conventional. I also think [Dunham] came along understanding her voice and with the support of a producing partner [Judd Apatow] experienced enough to say she is capable of this, she needs to be in charge of the story as it's her voice. I do feel Sex And The City's success made that possible, and it would have been different otherwise.'

Lady Gaga, Sarah Jessica Parker and Naomi Campbell have been given a cartoon makeover by Disney, in a colourful new Christmas campaign for US store Barneys.

The trio star in a short film called Electric Holiday, created by Disney to be shown at Barneys' Madison Avenue store in New York.

The 30 second-long festive clip, which stars a host of other famous fashion faces, begins with Minnie Mouse, admiring a beautiful Lanvin dress, before being transported to a fabulous fashion show.

And who should be in the audience, but Daphne Guinness, Carine Roitfeld and Naomi Campbell?

After taking part in the show, Minnie returns home, but still in her dress, designed for her by Lanvin's Alber Elbaz.

Who knew she was so high fashion?

Mark Lee, Barneys CEO explained of the campaign: 'Disney came up on a very short list of dreams - thinking about if we could do anything, what would we do?

'They represent magic and Barneys New York holiday needs to be part magic and part surprise.'

Luis Fernandez, senior vice president of creative for Disney Consumer Products, added: 'We thought, "A huge force in fashion and a huge force in animation. What better than for these two companies to get together and do something for the holidays?"'

The actress has told reporters that it's time to the let the series go

In crushing news to fans the world over, Sex And The City star Cynthia Nixon has said that she doesn't think that the show should continue.

The hugely popular New York-based hit, which ran for six series from 1998 to 2004 and was followed up with two big screen adaptations, is widely regarded as one of the best TV shows of recent times. However, when the actress was questioned about the possibility of joining up with her three SATC co-stars, Sarah Jessica Parker, Kim Cattral and Kristin Davis, for a third film outing she dismissed the idea.

Cynthia told The Hollywood Reporter: 'No, no. I think we had a wonderful ride. I think it's fine to let it go.'

Despite the star's comments, Kristin said earlier this year that she would 'love' to do another film, while Sarah Jessica Parker, who also acted as a producer for the series, has said that there are no immediate plans for a third movie, but holds out hope that it could happen in the future.

But fear not Sex And The City fans, because the show's prequel series, The Carrie Diaries, will hit TV screens in January 2013 to provide us with our SATC fix.

Glee star Chris Colfer looked rather attached to SJP in a Twitter snap, gushing: 'can we keep her?'

Just weeks after Kate Hudson made her Glee debut, there was yet another big name on the McKinley High set - none other than Sarah Jessica Parker.

The actress hit the set yesterday to film a cameo appearance for season four of the show - and it seems she was quite a hit with the cast!

Taking to Twitter to share a snap with the Sex and the City star, Chris Colfer exclaimed his love for the songstress, asking Glee creator Ryan Murphy - 'Can we keep her?'.

'I love her - I love her! Can we keep her? RT @MrRPMurphy: First scene! Kurt and Isabelle,' he gushed.

Sarah Jessica Parker will play Vogue editor Isabelle for her cameo appearance in the show, who becomes a mentor for Lea Michele's character Rachel Berry.

And that's not all. Earlier in the week, Mr Murphy told fans that not only would SJP play a member of the Vogue team in the show, but that the magazine's US editor would be helping with her costume choices.

'Guess who's helping us with Sarah Jessica Parker's costumes on GLEE? The amazing Anna Wintour!' he wrote.

Now we are excited.

Earlier this month Kate Hudson hit the set to film her stint in the show. The actress will play Lea Michele's dance instructor Cassandra July in the upcoming series four of the show - and will reportedly appear in as many as six episodes.

In yet more exciting Glee news, it was recently revealed that the one and only Sarah Jessica Parker will play a Vogue journalist in the show.

The former Sex and the City star's storyline will see her encounter both Rachel Berry (Lea Michele) and Kurt Hummel (Chris Colfer) in New York.

The show's co-creator and executive producer Ian Brennan said: 'Sarah Jessica Parker is gonna be running Vogue.com.

'That's sort of where we encounter this character, who's sort of frazzled, eccentric, hilarious. It's gonna be good.'

Could this be the most glamorous dinner party of all time?

Dinner parties are stressful at the best of times, but when your guests of honour are President Barack Obama and First Lady Michelle Obama we're talking nervous breakdown territory.

Last night Sarah Jessica Parker held a fundraising dinner for President Obama's re-election campaign at her New York home.

SJP (her husband, Matthew Broderick, couldn't be there as he had to perform on Broadway) welcomed 50 people into her West Village home, all of whom had paid up to $40,000 each to attend.

Thanks to the generosity of some of New York's finest, Obama managed to raise $2 million.

Apart from the President and First Lady Michelle, others famous faces in attendance included Meryl Streep, Aretha Franklin, designer Michael Kors, Olivia Wilde and US Vogue editor Anna Wintour.

According to guests at the exclusive event, Sarah Jessica Parker had done a great job sprucing up her home, which had plenty of art on the walls, floor-to-ceiling bookshelves and marble fireplaces which were adorned with flowers.

It's also being reported that Trombone Shorty, a jazz/funk musician from New Orleans, performed on the night, while guests sat at two long tables in SJP's pad.

As SJP, who was wearing a navy lace cocktail dress with three-quarter length sleeves, a jewel-studded necklace and an enormous diamond ring, introduced her high profile friends to the rest of the room, she described Michelle Obama as, 'our radiant and extraordinary First Lady.'

During the evening, Obama made a heartfelt speech in which he thanked 'Sarah Jessica' and 'her whole crew' as 'great friends' and a 'great leader and champion on behalf of the arts.'

He added: 'I recognize that most of you are here to see Michelle. I always explain I rank fifth in the hierarchy in the White House. There's Michelle, my mother-in-law, the two girls and Bo. So that actually makes it six. In terms of star wattage, people come to the White House and say, "Where's Michelle?"

He then went on to sing his wife's praises: 'Some of you know that Michelle had some skepticism about a life in politics. I think that's well known. And so the grace and the strength and the poise and the warmth that she has brought to an extraordinarily difficult task as first lady and still being the best mum couldn't make me prouder. I'm very pleased she's here. This is sort of our date night.'

Earlier in the day, SJP's neighbours looked on in astonishment as secret agents, NYPD police and dozens of workers went about preparing the Sex and the City star's four-story townhouse for the starry event.

It's also been confirmed that Lea Michele will be staying on for season four of the hit show

Sarah Jessica Parker and Kate Hudson have been confirmed as the next big names to guest star on Glee.

And the actresses won't just appear in one episode, oh no, the A-lister pair are set to appear in up to six shows each.

The exciting news was revealed at the Fox Upfronts presentation yesterday along with an announcement that Lea Michele will be returning for season four despite her character, Rachel Berry, having graduated in the show.

Glee's creator, Ryan Murphy, said that they would be following a 'show within a show' concept. He said: 'We're going to have a show within a show, following some characters to New York to a school for the arts.'

SJP slams reports of SATC coming back for a seventh series

We could hardly contain our excitement earlier this week when it was rumoured that Sex and the City was returning to our TV screens after a seven year absence.

But star of the show, Sarah Jessica Parker, has dashed our hopes by stating that the story isn't true. Blub.

Rumours surfaced over the weekend that SJP had agreed to produce one more TV series of the New York-based hit rather than star in a third film, following the scathing reviews of the second movie.

However, talking to Access Hollywood, a representative for the star said that the story is ‘completely false’.

Earlier this month rumours of a SATC prequel began hotting up, with four up-and-coming actresses tipped to play our favourite NYC girls during their younger years.

It’s thought Elizabeth Olsen was set to play Carrie, while Gossip Girl’s Blake Lively would star as man-eater Samantha, Selena Gomez would play Charlotte and Emma Roberts as Miranda. However, these plans have now reportedly been put on hold.
